  1. Guys, I have an off-topic question. Are you going to add brand new soil in your raised garden beds this year? Or just adding a bit to top it off? I've left mine outside in the elements without covering it up and we've been having a terrible winter with snow every few days!

  2. Purple Fountain Grass zone 3 please!! 🙋‍♀️. Great combo suggestions guys. I paired my fountain grass with Nemesia and diachondra silver falls last year and it looked great. I always get a huge aphid and whitefly infestation on my superbells so stopped using them. But maybe I’ll try again with the fountain grass per your suggestion! Zone3 Manitoba 🇨🇦👏🥶

  3. A great video! Thank you for all of your tips. My colors sync with your suggestions, so I took lots of notes. We have three feet of snow on the ground in New Hampshire, so seeing your video made spring seem that much closer.

  4. Eric you look great!! Love the pinks and purples!! I’m going blues, purple, pinks, and kind of an apricot orangey. So so ready for Spring, but for now enjoying lotsa seed starting ❤️

  5. I got 3 minutes into the video before I paused and planned my own containers, only to finish the video and rethink everything I just planned! So many choices.

Question: Have you ever given a house plant tour? Your book shelf is so inviting, I'd love to know the varieties and lighting used to help keep everything healthy!

  6. Hey guys! Idea for a video! Would love to know what you guys do for a living, where you’re from, where you met, how long have you been together, etc. No need to get too personal but I think you have a lot of loyal fans on YouTube. Thank you for considering!!

  7. Love love you both..wish we were neighbors…how much fun would that be….always enjoy your channel , always make me laugh!

  8. Can you tell me where you get the feet for your stone pots please? I am looking for both stone pots and feet for what I already have. Thanks very much.

  9. Love to watch you guys so much! I learn a lot by watching your podcasts…. Love how you gave examples of your flower containers! Will definitely use some of your ideas…Can't wait to see your new containers….

  10. I agree with you on the purple Fountain grass! I buy a few each year as filler for my pots & also to spot plant directly in the garden.

  11. I want to do a Angelface Super Blue Angelonia as a thriller with diamond snow euphoria and either Sparlking amethyst superbena or Mini Vista Indigo supertunia. I think this would be lovely!

  12. Would you mind sharing where you purchase your Proven Winners annuals from? Thanks as always for another great video! 😊

  13. Love Pinks & purples!!!! My colours this year & ordered my annuals from Proven Winners. Here I Toronto, Canada zone 5b we've got TONS OF SNOW, daydreaming about Spring

  14. It's not the bold color statement of purple fountain grass, but my favorite hardy perennial grass here in Zone 4/5 (I'm 5b with cold snaps into 4-like temps) is the Korean feather reed grass, Calamagrostis brachytricha. The color is much more pink than I expected, a soft pink but definitely pink rather than yellow/brown. And it can tolerate part shade, which is rare for a tall grass.

  15. Such a fun video! Love that you shared your container combinations. I am absolutely a fan of the Mini Vista Indigo! It’s my favorite supertunia, and is in my garden every year.

  16. here in south texas, angelonia" angelic" in english, is called mexican or summer snapdragon, they are related but a different genus. They are perennials here in south texas. They really can take the heat and drought suprisingly well. So exited to see the spring pallete!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗❤😊

  17. LOVED this video!!! I was anxious to see what you repeated from last year. Very glad to hear your thoughts on the Lavender Hellotrop because I loved them in your containers last year!! And I think this is my year to add some gaura. Truly appreciate your honest thoughts on these plants.❤

  18. Can’t wait to see how this color palette comes together! 💗💜 Y’all have a beautiful garden! Thank you for sharing with us!

  19. Please ANNOUNCE it if someone tells you a perrinal that matches purple fountain grass … been on that search FOREVER … I am in zone 5b can lein to the 6a in SOME areas. Oh to die for plant. I have come to love the queen tut as well for a thriller as well it just gets so huge and glorious. I am attempting to over winter some in my garage this winter … we shall see how that goes. Got my fingers crossed multiple ways. 🎉

  20. Love your podcast, nothing better than planning a garden in the winter, I love sitting next to a scented planter, other than 🐝 lol

  21. How do you decide what to purchase? I get overwhelmed. Do you buy what you like and then pair them up later or plan and then buy?

  22. My color scheme this year is going to be peach and lemon yellow, maybe a touch of purple. I have had very good luck with New Guinea Impatiens, they grew very well in my flower boxes here in zone 7b Connecticut. I'm excited to see how your flower designs turn out because I usually put two large flower pots in front of the garage (south facing full sun). any suggestions would be appreciated.

  23. Love your video with pictures of all the flowers you are using and the reasons why. Very informative. I live in Maui so almost opposite your growing conditions but will try some of these flowers anyway – if I can get them. Love your garden. Again, even tho my growing conditions are different than yours I love seeing your garden. Question – did you design it or did you have help? It is lovely and must be so much fun to work in.

  24. Love your podcast, nothing better than planning a garden in the winter, I love sitting next to a scented planter, other than

  25. I didn’t have the best experience with the Rockapulco double impatiens, they just didn’t have very many flowers. I don’t know if I did something wrong or what! The photo you showed for the impatiens was a begonia instead of the double pink impatiens. What a beautiful begonia though!!! My favorite pink flower plant is Supertunia Bubblegum, I know it’s so popular 🥰 it was my gateway to Proven Winners twenty years ago or so. I learned about it from P Allen Smith, I love him and his Moss Mountain Farm😊 one of my favorite purple plants is Purple Heart tradescantia. I have had mine for several years now, I’m in zone 5b so I overwinter it inside and I propagate it so I can have lots for my pots and to share. I also like my variegated purple tradescantia, I propagate it every year too. Last year I planted some in the ground and it just took off and grew and grew! I will be planting it all over my shady areas this year 😍💚💚💚💚

  26. Just found this channel and I'm so thrilled! I'm a daily Garden Answer watcher and have been looking for another channel that is equivalent in quality and style…not to mention the stunning garden shots 😊 Looking forward to getting to see what you have in store for this spring 🎉
