When you brought your Florida ghost starter plant home was it a drama queen? Specifically did you notice wilting or browning on the leaves? The one I just got is sooo tiny.. I’m really nervous about killing it. I’ve done lots of pilfering through various places online to see what others have said but most of the posts are so old and have no update. Hoping someone out there can tell me what would be normal behavior for it when acclimating as a starter plant. Any tips or information from your personal experience in caring for this plant would be appreciated too. Thank you so much!

Mine was smaller than yours and not as ghostly. I’ve had it since last October. I didn’t do anything special tbh, chunky mix, grow light (it’s winter here) and quite warm as it’s on the shelf above a radiator. And it’s doing really well.
Yes, mine took a few weeks to get into a groove, and it lost most of the leaves it shipped with. It wasn’t as white as yours, though – it’s odd for all of its leaves to hold on to that much whiteness.
I bought one a few months back, and split the plants, one is at my office the other at home. The office one was thriving from day one, while the one at home, not so much. Some of the new growth has struggled and it looks pretty sad. Despite its wimpiness, it’s continued to put out new growth and I’m hopeful for it. I think they can just be finicky.
My office one gets natural light, and the home one I’ve moved between natural light and a grow light to see what it likes. And guess what, it’s still being drama! I’ve left him in the window with natural light for now, and we seem to have reached a stasis. If it’s continuing to put out new growth, I would continue to do what you’re doing.
