take the top off and propagate it in water or soil. iâve done it before, and they root quite easily.

Cut and prop. But also just eat it. You want to be pinching off the top leaves so that the plant branches off and becomes bushier. The top leaves are the oldest and you risk the plant going to seed which will change the taste profile of the leaves.
