Long time no see! This time, I thought I would make a video on what I’ve been working on the past few months, which is farming! My neighbor, who has been a farmer for decades, lets another one of our farming neighbors rent space here so I asked if I could as well, as he said yes!

My goal is to make bento with the vegetables from the garden!　お久しぶりです。近所の農家さんに畑の一部をお借りして、野菜作りを始めました。家庭菜園の経験は浅いので、色々、試行錯誤しながら菜園管理をしてこうと思います。収穫した野菜や果物で、お弁当を作るのが目標です。

    It's so crazy to see your gardens being so productive already! It's still far too cold to plant in my area of the US. We can't plant until May here.

    I can't wait to watch the whole journey!

    I love the way you include your cats in your channel. I first came across your channel years ago while recovering from bypass surgery, it was the one where you restored the rusted knives with your wet stone. I used to have an orange and white Maine Coon, Guiness, and Haku reminded me of him and the antics of your cats hooked me! If I die and reincarnate, I hope I get taken in as one of your cats, if just for the food.

    I would worry about the soil temperature getting too hot with the black plastic covering it. Does that happen?

    I am gearing up to start gardening here in the north american mid-atlantic region. February is still a little early for us to put most things in the ground (though some seeds that require freezing temps can be sown!). It's motivating to see someone else out there planting already. I am going through my inventory of seeds and reordering varieties I like. 🙂
