4:10 I've got the "Uno" and there's no trace of variegation. The pollen parent is an albo, but that's chimaeraic variegation, so the genome in the pollen will either code for functional chlorophyll or not. The colour is quite light, so I wonder if it's from a non-chlorophyll-producing cell line of the father and all the chlorophyll is from the mother's line. It has a really strange leaf texture and it seems to stain a little bit more easily from water on the leaves, but it goes away quickly too. I think that's all you're seeing in the picture.
The roots are crazy vigorous too. I've potted mine up with a moss pole in a clear pot and the visible roots are appearing all over the surface of the pot.
Odd Spot have also created a hybrid of M. dubia and M. deliciosa (small form, the former "var. borsigiana"), but I haven't seen how it matures.

Reminds me of the Monstera compacta var. I hope they will soon come to EU. I think these could become very popular here
im a monstera collector and a amature breeder of anthurium, and i often wondered what if…….not just Adansonii,laniata,deliciosa, also other monstera like subpinnatum, aureopinnatum, dubia, lechleriana, combining extreme oddities Examples (subpinnatum x adansonii) (lechleriana x dubia ), i dont know if theyre realistic to attempt but i am curious.
Hello from Brisbane, Australia. Yes we can import aroid tissue culture. Just need to purchase the appropriate permit. Export is possible..just need to get right paperwork. I am looking to do that soon.

UNO is a nice fast grown plant, I grabbed one last year when they released it, the 8 ball looks to be in different ball park of quality. great video
I agree. I’m not a huge fan of Aurea variegation. I’m feeling burnt out of all the Flobo hybrids that have been going around. But if they could hybridize some of the variegated Monstera….just wow!🤩 Love the 8 ball, hate the name as well. Haha
the good old days of hybridizing, before mutagenesis was all the rage
I don’t wanna be a hater but this reminds me a lot of Anthurium hybrids where the hybrid just looks like An Anthurium or A Monstera.
I really like the magic eight ball. I’m putting it on my wish list. ❤
