Hello! I recently bought this beautiful pink princess, she is my second. I need to repot her into a better soil mixture and pot, but she has all these teeny-tiny little leaves at the bottom/base of the plant and I am wondering if they are… separate plants? Do they need to be separated off from this main plant when I repot? What is the best way to go about this? I am nervous, I don't want to kill the plant. I did my best to try and get up close photos.

I usually separate the babies and I get more plants.
Not just yet! I bought one very similar but because it was left out under the rain (at the store) i had to repot and save the roots. I thought these were separate plants but they were actually budding from the base of the stem just under the dirt line. Give it some time let them grow out and then you can chop and prop. Or leave it for a bushy plant
I have a baby PPP that needs to be repotted that is in a similar situation and just looks like a hot mess towards the bottom. However, I am also concerned about hurting the plant. So I’m just going to carefully plant a bit below that line and just let it do its thing for right now. I expect it will need another repot later so if it’s becoming an issue or the babies look strong enough to be removed, I might take them then. But I also like having a full plant.
Sort of an aside, but it may also be a bit better for the plant in terms of raising its ambient humidity by just a hair; if there’s more leaves and such around (think of a single tree versus a forest), it makes it easier to sort of make things a little more moist in the air. And the leaves on the PPP do like to be moist (which is why people talk about misting the leaves, using paper towel tricks for stuck leaves, running humidifiers, etc.). TLDR: I’m not sure how much of a difference it would actually make, but it can’t hurt to have a bushier plant, IMO. I hope this helps a bit!
