  1. I appreciate you so much. I understand exactly what your saying. Thank you for expressing what I'm feeling. I feel validated.

  2. Sadly many don't want to understand. I take one day at a time and put my hope and trust in Christ Jesus alone. I'll preach Christ to others, plant those seeds, and pray they grow.
    God bless you Jess.

  3. Thank you for not adding to the noise. I think sometimes people talk just to hear themselves and to feel important. You have substance to share and itโ€™s quality substance. Thank you for being YOU!!! God Bless

  4. I intentionally donโ€™t watch, read or listen to anything political.thank you Jess for keeping your channels ones that focus on the things that are importantly me.

  5. I watch your channel for gardening information, and it makes me want to garden. Thanks for not being political I have been not watching channels that do, face it both parties have flaws and crazy people in them. The garden bug bit me. I suck at gardening, but I will figure it out. You are honest about what you do wish that I could grow like you do.

  6. Very Biblical and very well explained and expressed. You're correct, some people can not understand what anyone says. They can only hear the noise.
Thanks for what you do and how you express yourself.

  7. I really appreciate that your channel is not political. It's a wonderful respite from all the noise. Yes you have gotten on your soap box about some specific things, but those weren't political so to speak as much as passionate awareness of a broken food system.
Also I am betting on 21 varieties as the final tally. I don't know why. It literally just popped in my head when you asked how many it would be.

  8. This is not to discount what you're saying here but you do make political stances and that's ok. Talking about the broken food and healthcare systems are political stances. You're choosing not to engage in a particular conversation and I respect that. That said, growing your own food, community care, healing foods and herbalism, homeschooling, the broken food system…all political. You are influencing people's views in those areas. Not a criticism of you btw. I'm glad for it.

  9. Youโ€™re bang on as always Jess! You always make me contemplate and want better for myself and my family. I love the raw real truth and I can always count on you to deliver it. We may not be in the same space in our lives as I am 59 and we are empty nesters but we have common Christian goals and thought processes. And by the way sweetness, you are rocking that beautiful gray hair that God blessed you with in this video!

  10. My garden is my safespace.. free from all the hectic things around the world! Thank you for the focus on gardening and people.. โค Blessings from the Netherlands ๐Ÿ’ซ

  11. I have plenty political thoughts on things but I don't watch your channel for politics I watch it for gardening info…Keep up the good work….Thanks!

  12. Beautiful video and Pep talk โค seriously looking at what fills my hands ( and head) and deciding what is truly serving my purpose.
This is exactly the message we need to hear โคโคโค Thank you beautiful girl xo

  13. I am so thankful that you don't talk about politics. This is where I come to escape all that stuff.

  14. Jess, you are spot on! None of us has more than today, and we all do well just taking care of ourselves. I do appreciate those who are lifted to do more than that with grace, but it is not me. I hang out in my kitchen or garden or art studio, and that is my calling; that and counseling friends who ask for help. I want to thank you for the hours of introspection it takes for you to reach such a high level of wisdom at such a relatively young age. Many people don't experience this until they are 20 some years your elders. God has given you a voice, and you are using it.

  15. I appreciate your opinion and content. I also agree with Einstein. But, we all need wholesome distraction in this time. Thank you. XXXXX

  16. my parents were country people during the depression too. my philosophy about stuff bought in the grocery store can e more of less made or grown at home. Recipes for instance. Mayonnaise cake were developed during the depression too because the same ingredients were in cake.

  17. I appreciate that your channel is about the garden and the things you do. I donยดt want political content, I want an escape from all that noise. I want to garden, grow my own food, a simple life.

  18. I really appreciate your stand on things. It truly parallels mine. Thanks for the talk. Itโ€™s encouraged me to be less divisive in my social media posts.

  19. Scissors work really well to open those bags, lol. No judgment here though, cause mine are never in reach either. hahaha ha ha

  20. 100% agree, none of anyone else's business what I support or think or products I use. I have strong feelings about being self-sufficient. I make my own clothes, I knit my own jerseys and teach others to knit as well. I have scaled down and do not have a garden now BUT have a very big woodn deck on which I plan to start container gardening. Also started a sourdough starter, so moving towards less gluten and I love preserving and canning. And yes, sometimes what you make at home is cheaper in the shops, BUT you control what's in it and that has no price. As for our faith beliefs, St Francis of Assissi said, in every opportunity share the Gospel, and if needed, open your mouth to do so, the example of our lives and actions , show much more than the words we utter. YOu keep going and just shrug off the naysayers

  21. I LOVE my painters tape for labeling. I use it in the kitchen and in the garden on all of my tags. I can easily pull it of when Iโ€™m done and reuse them.

  22. Thank you Jess ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ
Simply Love the way you are, the way you think and prioritize action.๐Ÿ’–

  23. Need start my pepper but weather been so crabby started some my brassicas they got leggy even with good grow lights ugh just grrr so may have restart boo but need start peppers though!! Maybe tom just rained so much today. Ugh oh man but I do the same have hard time of same thing how eneded so many peppers last year lol it was pepper forest is loved it!!!

  24. I appreciate that your channel focuses on gardening and not politics. You are wise not to discuss it as you would undoubtedly alienate some of your viewers. It is good to focus on what positive actions we can take (like growing our own food) no matter what direction the country is headed in.

  25. I usually don't comment but I just wish to tell you that I love your channel. I don't live in the USA but it is hard to miss news of politics in the US. I love that you said that we aren't meant to take as much input as we do. I think so many people care too much about expressing their opinion on things and I respect that you don't, it's not even neccesairy for your content. I also think you can choose to take inspiration in things the way that it resonates to you. I am not religious but I'm not offended when you talk about religion. I draw inspiration from some things you say and let the things that don't resonate go. Just keep doing you and teaching people like me how to grow food.

  26. I have to say sometimes it frustrates me not to know your opinions on politics but at the same time i am so glad i don't. So much if social media is filled with rage at the moment and it is so stressful when the reason i go to youtube or instagram is actually for beauty and joy and gardening inspiration. Praying for you and all of America at the moment it must be so divisive and difficult. It's hard enough here in the uk.

  27. I can respect that you don't want to talk politics on your channel, and I'm sure over the years both sides feel like the world is ending when "The other" candidate gets elected…. but this election really feels like it this time.

I'm just happy I'm not married with a "different name" than my birth certificate, as they are now making it harder to get passports and are aiming to have you re-register to vote. So if your name doesn't match (ie, your husbands last name), then they are taking that freedom away from you.

I wish I could have even living security, but I'm not sure if ill have to move this year depending on my status. Right now I just have to burry my head because otherwise everything is just doom and gloom and theres no escaping it. Outside the internet, or in.

  28. Whilst I agree with your decision to remain silent about your political leanings, I feel that the US is at a crossroads, morally and politically.
Your silence may be interpreted as condoning the totally UNCHRISTIAN and amoral events taking place across America.
As an Australian I am alarmed and horrified at what is happening.
Terrible things happen while good people remain silent!!

  29. Jess, I am grateful you create and hold a safe space to come away from the blurb that's always going on world wide, as is my garden space and the allotment โค
Thank you for not regurging it all in here too โค๏ธ
Happy seed sowing. Today, we dig again for the allotment shed base.

  30. Jess and Miah, so smart to have a small nursery greenhouse /"kitchen garden" closer to the house. Good pivot. ๐ŸŒป (btw, I keep a personal YT playlist called "grow better" and you better believe this went into there for days I need a grounding/uplifting connection)

  31. How many seeds did you put in that blue pot? ๐Ÿ˜… Seemed like you kept adding seeds the whole time you were talking.
