It depends if the color is crazy good and size. And if ur willing to wait two years for a smaller one to get to that size.

For those Thais?? No way, total ripoff. I don’t know where you are in the world (is that a TJs??) but some big box stores have ones maybe a hair smaller ~$40. And with what voracious growers these are it wouldn’t take long to get to about the same size.

Here’s a smaller one on Etsy for $41. It’ll take a couple extra months to get to that size, but hey you saved $161.

I have a hard time justifying paying this much when Walmart has smaller ones for $30. I’d rather just be patient. To me, it’s more fun to watch them develop fenestration over time.

I got a same size one at Costco last year for $30

No wonder they’re the manager’s favorite. Definitely not worth it for that price!

I always want to support local plant stores and nurseries but it absolutely drives me crazy when they price stuff like this when big box stores have the same size for $40 bucks or the online nurseries have plants that are a lot cheaper

It really depends on the area. I live in a low population state. We don’t even have an ikea within a couple hours and multiple states away. We got our first costco this year with the closest otherwise also being very far. Most nurseries only finally started getting thai cons within the last six months, prices being extremely high due to lack of accessibility in the area, and stores like walmart don’t even carry plants here anymore due to a lack of consumers

They’re definitely cheaper in other locations, so it really is specific to your area. If you’re able to be patient, ordering online is your best bet probably

They go for much less nowadays. You can buy small ones with fenestrations for $25 at Walmart and a little bigger at Costco for $35

Monstera plant droopy and not growing. What can I do?

I saw one at HD for $75 over the weekend. It wasn’t much fuller. No way. Northeast Ohio

Walmart had 4 inch pots on sale on their website for 49.99 a few months ago. I think that’s a little high but if you really want it, the purchase is justified in my opinion lol

  12. groovydoll

I got a huge one at Aldi for 15$. So sad they sold out.

I live in a rural area and a monstera with at least 5 plants was on sale at Safeway for $25. I told the pharmacy tech to buy it even when she said she’s not great with plants.

A pass for me as well. Just bought one of a similar size for $34 at Costco in Central VA.

  15. Wow. They are really trying to rip people off.

  16. DiscombobulatedBat20

I go small ones for $15 each and the big one I got from Home Depot was $30

  17. SkinnyBlackMan717

Jus grab a little and go propagate it 🤐

  18. dangerousdawg

No. Ones this size are going for $20-40 now in the US. The lowes near me all just got in MASSIVE thais. I’m talking leaves 20″ across already and they were $70.

  19. frankylovee

Is this a homie depot? Pfffffft, I got one that size at mine for $44

  20. Prize_Ant_1141

30.00 to 40.00 that size .central WA wal.art and home depot

  21. VoidOfHuman

  22. ifcats_had_tentacles

My husband paid $15 at Walmart back in august for my bday present. I had written off ever having one if they were that price!

  23. presence_unknown

I just bought one at target a little smaller than those for $20

  24. rocksfried

I bought a very similarly sized one at my local Grocery Outlet for $17.99 recently

  25. thatsweetfunkystuff

Don’t do it just order a node cutting for like $3 on Etsy or another plant site and grow your own. That’s the best part is watching it grow up.

  26. TailsOfFire_

Walmar, HomeDepot, Lowe’s, they all have them for like $20-40; just not as mature.
