I have this Florida beauty and it’s currently in a cup with spag, perlite, and some chunky mix bark filler. It seems to be happy but it’s hard to tell when it needs water ( for me anyways- <a year experience). I was contemplating poking some holes in the bottom so I could water it like a regular plant or switch it to a pon mixture. Any thoughts.

  1. My Florida Green and Beauty are in PON like 95% of my plants

The Spagnum Moss will hold moisture for a bit. The Bark mix and Perlite will balance that out though.
You should be able to tell when it’s time for WATERing by touching your substrate. Poking holes in the bottom (and lower sides) will allow You to bottom water, which encourages a stronger healthier rootsystem. Let it have a good soak then when the substrate is dry down between your 1st and 2nd knuckle, it’s WATERing time.

    🪴 Good Luck! 🪴
