Hi all!

I want to make something like this, this spring. My questions are – how long do you keep the humidifier on? How many hours do you keep the growlights on?
Also, got any tips or tricks to share for a beginner? 😍

Thanks in advance!

  1. Humidifier? Not necessary – the whole point of the setup is to create an enclosed space that traps humidity, there will be enough humidity from the plants alone, so you shouldn’t need a humidifier. I recommend getting a temperature & humidity sensor, just so you can keep an eye on it. Humidity inside mine is usually around 80%.

Inside as well as the lights, I have a couple of fans for air circulation. This keeps the air inside from becoming stale, and helps limit mould growth.

All the lights and fans are plugged into a 4 way power strip, which is itself plugged into a smart-plug, which is connected to my smart home setup. This allows me to set schedules and automate the lights and fans turning on and off each day. I currently have everything set to turn on at sunrise and off at sunset every day, but in the summer I may switch to a fixed time on/off.
