  2. Most certainly it is expensive. It makes me sad having to buy dirt . Just Today, I spent more than i wanted to, but i needed a raised bed.๐Ÿ˜ข

  3. A warning about the mallow – they are garden thugs. I grew them from seed about 20 years ago. Iโ€™ve been trying to eradicate them ever since. Theyโ€™re pretty but want to take over the world.

  5. Thank you for sharing. I want to start seed sowing so that my container garden will be lush by the time our Spring starts in Texas.

  6. Great video Steph! My echinacea also reverted back to purple just some stems. I left them because it didn't really bother me. It was my echinacea white swan.

  7. Always great information, thank you! Congratulations on reaching 100K ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ Looking forward to seeing what plants sprout, its like Christmas watching you open your jugs ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ

  8. Hi Steph, do you think it would be safe for me to put the evergreens that I got from the last red pot sales outside in the gazebo until spring? I live in the same zone, they have been living in my basement but I need room for seed starting but I went a little crazy at the sale. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  9. Oh Steph, I can't wait to do me winter sowing method. 1st time trying. I love in ne ok. and I'm also 6B 7A. Hopefully I'm not to late. All I need is some seed starter mix and a few more seeds. Perennials, I have alot of annuals already. Got them from Dollar Tree. I have very good luck with DT seeds. I love your channel, have been watching it for over 3 years. Congratulations on 100k. You deserve every follower and I mean it, you have a beautiful charm about you. You are never, ever boring. I just love you and George.โค

  10. CONGRATULATIONS on 100,000 subs!! Well deserved by both you and George!! ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ’ฎ๐Ÿฅ€๐ŸŒป๐Ÿชด

  11. I live in zone 8b in washington State, and that mallow became invasive in my garden. I think I brought it in with some soil i purchased. It may be a different variety that i have in my yard, but it is very wet here and it loves my soil.

  12. Two other perennial species that are easy to grow from seed with winter sowing (and re-seed themselves) are our native lobelia cardinalis and lobelia siphilitica. The cultivar lobelia x speciosa "Starship Blue" has also done well for me via seed. Sorry to hear that echinacea "White Swan" reverted — I haven't seen that yet in mine though I suspect if they reseeded I might get some purple ones. Both the Pow Wows (White and Berry) have grown well for me from winter sowing. I am in 7a Lower Hudson Valley, so climate conditions similar to yours. The best antidote to the snow storm last night is to go down into the basement and sow some more seeds in jugs!

  13. thats so interesting about the coneflowers because my green twister have also reverted t back to the purple.

  14. Hi. I love flowers and perennials! Have put seeds outside under rubbermaid…some germinated…Calendula! On my way! In north ga

  15. Hi Steph, hearty congratulations on reaching the milestone of 100k subscribers. All the best for the future growth of your channel. I am sure that with all the wonderful videos that you post, your channel will be a force to reckon with. I garden in MA and learn a lot from all your videos.

  16. @HookedandRooted what perennials do you recommend for gardens that donโ€™t get too much sun. I have a very large backyard but also have large trees that give mostly shade. Iโ€™d like to add some color.

  17. I really enjoy your videos! As a new gardener, I have learned so much from your channel. Congratulations on reaching 100k subscribers!!!

  18. I bought malva sylvesteis Zabrena as a live plant last year and it is stunning! You will love it!

  19. I started my winter sowing jugs 2 days ago. Last year was my first time trying this method and they did great.

  20. I love your Channel, Steph! Have you ever tried winter sowing without plastics? I am trying to reduce my use of all kinds of plastics in the garden.

  21. I have a quick question. I'm sorry I may not have the right video that goes with my question. The other day, I watched a video , you were visiting your friend's garden. You and her both said your Hibiscus foliage had been eaten or had holes. I live in WV, and mine did too. What can we do before the problem gets so bad? The big blooms on my Holy Grail were beautiful, but the leaves were very bad. Thank you for any advice
