Fell out of the pot, and was left without water or surrounding soil for a few days. Used to have luscious greenery but the entire plant has turned watery and spongy and the exterior is somehow simultaneously dry. Been leaving it in front of a window and watering every few days. Is it dead? No chance for recovery? Had it since covid, am bummed!

Not gonna lie. My plant looks like SHIT compared to the other posts on here asking for medical advice. Oh god. Maybe the day has come.

By looking at this post I just came to terms that I lost my mother of a thousand. It looks just like this and I’ve been holding out hope that new growth was going to sprout. Rip

You MAY be able to salvage that green little itty bit, take out before it rots remove dry leaves, let it sit a day or two and just plant in well draining soil and small pot with draining holes and don’t water for about a week and give it light. But also pray to Mother Nature to save it.

If you were watering every few days it died from over watering. That will make the stems feel spongy. With the next one let the soil dry out completely, wait a week or two and then water it.

The main plant may be dead but you can propagate the green top put it in a little water and wait for roots, once they appear you can plant them in a chunky soil mix so it’s well draining. I’ve saved many of the bits that my succulent drops from neglect 😂
