  1. Dear Anna, thanks for your design tips. We are moving to a new house (and a new garden), and I'm definitely going to take some of your advice. Alice

  2. Have you grown summer savory before? It's my favorite herb, especially dried. It has lovely purple flowers as well!

  3. Hi Anna- I really loved this video. I found it very helpful bc I am trying to incorporate more of a cottage style in my backyard that is mostly trees and shrubs. I would love any help in some of my “ rough” areas. I always wonder how your garden grows so well – (it looks like in your videos that your garden light is more muted.) Thank you!

  4. I love your videos so much. Informative but also highlights the whinsy of gardens. I would love to hear your thoughts on Monet's Garden in Giverney. Your opinion/thoughts on the layout, plants/flowers used, ect

  5. Yes, I would love help designing my garden… I have 5 1/2 acres of land that I feel can be used better and my front lawn looks awful, I want a garden

  6. Thank you for your lovely videos during these cold months; it gets me excited to start on my garden in the spring. I just wish I would have started years ago.

  7. Just wanted to say that I recently discovered your channel and love your style. This is a great example of how much effort you put into your videos and I hope your channel blows up as more people discover the joy of the cottage garden. Down with the manicured yard, I say!

  8. YES! More cottage garden design videos please! I am going to work more herbs and veggies into my flower beds this year 🙂

  9. I am an instant fan, I was only part way through watching my first video of yours and I am subscribed!! I especially loved the video where you actually walked through 3 designs for a backyard. And the apothecary garden gave me some great ideas, too. I am planning a cottage garden surrounding some existing trees and shrubs, in about 50ft wide , 40ft deep. So I am hungry for design ideas! Looking forward to more design inspiration 🙌 ❤️

  10. I'd love to see a video on terrace/patio gardening. I get a few brief hours of morning sun on my terrace. 🙂

  11. I definitely have a few areas I could use help with! What competes with bracken and brambles in full sun zone 8b?

  12. I just love your garden. I have a woodland garden like you, not as big tho, haha. But i also go for a romantic and overgrown look, very much fairytale/fantasy, long lost, wildlife, hobbiton style if that makes any sense, haha, to me it does. 😂💕And main focus is wildlife. I want it to be as useful as possible for wildlife and I try to do it in an aesthetically pleasing way for myself. And you help and inspire me a lot. 💕Thank you. 💕✨

  13. Yess plz we are interested in terrace or patio equivalent of this. & do you have thoughts for Califotnian weather 🙈

  14. I’d love to see a video that explains how to do piece by piece maybe not the entire swath but slowly transforming lawn into cottage garden. I’m trying to do this now with small areas at a time. Have expanded a large bed under existing trees that’s now ready for planting. Adding a pocket prairie for pollinators on the edge facing an empty lot and last year we converted about a third of our lawn (one corner) into native garden with mulch and pondless water feature. It’s a process and love taking it one small area at a time

  15. Your garden is looking so beautiful and abundant! This was a great video. What budlea do you grow? I have tried, but it died over winter. I am in IL zone 5b/6a. Also, you have such pretty lupine. The bunnies ate mine. How do you manage critter pressure? We have alot of cabbage moth too, that get after the lovely kale. I do a combo of cottage gardening and veggie gardening in raised beds. We have huge oak and maple trees, so some dappled light, but when overhead or late in the day, my plants have to be able to take hot sun. I try to look for S/P.
I have a lot of tulips and daffodils that come up in the Spring, but there is a lul while waiting for some of the other flowers to bloom. Do you have things planted with your bulbs?

  16. Such a magical and inspiring video. I love how clearly passionate and what a fountain of knowledge you are about this. Ive just seen how many other vids are on this channel and I feel spoilt for choice, immediate subscribe! 🙂

  17. A list of plants for a border wall?? Tall and low. No fencing in backyard aprox 50 -70 ft wide. With some conifers / deodar cedars 😅

  19. Hello! I am so excited to discover another excellent garden channel! It would be interesting to learn more about planning a cottage garden according to cardinal points. Good luck with everything! I appreciate your passion and ability to describe things in such small details.

  20. I made a mistake a few years ago and put in a very large permanent garden surrounded by a custom wood picket fence. It probably takes up 1/4th of my yard. I'm so frustrated because I feel it adds too much structure and utility in my cottage garden. I've nearly given up. Do you have a recommendation on helping to incorporate this into the rest of my back yard garden?
