  1. Thank you for sharing this video!! I was just about to look up a video on this. You explained it in a way that was easy to follow! I have a really old apple tree that I need to have someone help me get the dead parts out of it. I have some experiments I want to try to see if I can salvage some of it just in case it is on it's way out. We also have a nectarine tree that my son and I planted a few years ago that I know very much needs pruned but I have yet to do it. I also need to get some neem oil or something for it because something keeps zapping it's first round of leaves every spring and that seems to mess up the fruit production. Thank you again for sharing this video!

  2. What a great descriptive way to explain all of this. I actually understand this now. Thank you so much! ♥♥♥for the Garden Guardian Angel.

  3. It’s great to see you back in the garden, James. We miss seeing you with the Young King, Tuck, but he will always be in our hearts. ❤❤❤

  4. dude, do you have like a wife and kids? you just look so lonely without tuck romping around.. im just hoping theres somebody (anybody) to keep you growing.

  5. Love the pruning videos big homie ! Its one of my favorite things to do in the food forest 💜💚🍎🍑🍒🍐🍏🍒 I AINT, NEVA!!! GONNA STOP FOOD FORESTING !!!

  6. I just got my T-shirt, and I love it 🙂 It's soft and comfy, the color is awesome, and I love having Tuck, The Guardian of the Garden, come along with me when I'm gardening. I'll always remember that sweet guy, munching on his carrot!

  7. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰❤️🥰❤❤❤ in loving memory of Tuck🥰

  8. Congrats to the winner. Thanks for broaching the subject of pruning. I need to tackle pruning my peaches in the next couple of weeks and I was happy to learn how to do it.

  9. James, scour the neighborhood to see if you can find Son of Tuck. I am sure he slipped out now and again to visit "friends".

  10. Thank you so much. I learned so much. I appreciate you and sharing your knowledge. Your videos help to keep me motivated. 🎉

  11. killing my fruit trees if I do what? head cut or thin cut? or what cut? Don't worry about a mistake? How do we kill the tree???

  12. 🐕🐶🦮🐕‍🦺 New dog time. Tuck cannot be replaced but some dog is wanting to try, I pray you find him or her.

  13. Hi James,

I watched a pruning video you made many years ago as one of the first videos I used to learn pruning.

It was great, and I have put many of those principles to work over the years since then.

Thanks for this new video with all new information! It shows you are continuing to learn over time.

  14. So sorry to hear about Tuck. I had a yorkie when I was a kid – a long haired one – looked like a floor mop, so called her Moppsie. Very hard for the family when she passed on, but my father told us it was the natural cycle of things and that she had had a fantastic life. What a great time Tuck has had in your forest.

  15. God Bless you, James. Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge with us. You are exponentially enhancing the gardening community. ❤❤❤❤. Tuck will be with you in spirit always!!!

  16. Miss Tuck. Miss seeing him chewing on the tender carrots. It was soul satisfying to see him eat. Was Tuck an Irish terrier?
