So I am new to Indoor Gardening, I have a set up for herbs, and some flowers

I think my plant lights are too close to the growing plants because instead of growing up they are spreading out, I am not sure what to buy to get the lights up a bit further so my plants grow upwards… I dont want my chives, cilantro, and basil to die đŸ„ș

The lavender hasnt germinated yet so I dont believe the seeds are very good or i dont have the right atmosphere

Look up etiolation- they are trying to get MORE light, not trying to escape.

  2. Lavender takes a while to germinate, seems like just when you’re about to give up they’ll pop out for ya. It does seem like they aren’t receiving enough light tho, they’re stretching toward the center where your only light source is. Perhaps adding 1 or 2 more bulbs could help. If they were getting too much light, you wouldn’t see them stretching like they are but instead they’d be scorched looking

Your basil is reaaaally stretched. Either not enough light or not the right type of light.

Is it a grow lamp your using? What does its spectrum look like? I used to think that I was smart saving money and just buying a cheap powerful construction lamp, but they miss the important UV part of the spectrum. Most plants need that to grow.

For extra light, do the edges in some tin foil.
