what’s causing the brown spots on my pink princess? she’s a healthy gal otherwise (i think – two new leaves as pictured). it’s only this one leaf which is also the most pink by far. i water her once a week & she gets a lot of indirect light, next to a large window.

Philos with pink or white variegation will get brown like this in the lighter spots. That part of the leaf is not photosynthesizing so in my experience is the first to go in a natural leaf aging and death cycle.

I’d check to make sure you’re not overwatering (check that soil is dry below the surface before watering). Also These ladies can take a lot of light, I had mine in a south facing window, and She’d love some support to grow up too – You’ll get bigger leaves.
