Nice one Terry! I've managed a few outings to the plots in the last week! No point going when you do more harm than good to the soil LOL
Quality content as always, thank you for your valuable time. 👍🏼❤️👍🏼
Hi Terry, Is there a reason your compost especially the leaves are covered, our large leaf heap is out in the open. Nice to see you are all prepared right ready to go. I would love some raised beds as I struggle to bend down.
Well done buddy …great tour nice to see all that’s going on…
Nature always finds away!
Love the rogue garlic 😂
Great tour Terry.
We are going to shovel up our wood chip outside the shed, it looks great and definitely needs renewing.
My walking onions are doing fab. I must feature them in my next vlog 😅
Hi Terry, I bet you find a real bonanza of worms under that sheep wool mulch as well! I'll be thinking of you and Mrs. K this Friday and hope all goes well ❤️
~ Sandra
Hi Terry. Are you growing produce in every raised bed? Where are you going to grow the giant marrow? I'm amazed about how high you got carrot root fly. It must have used a pole vault lol. There's always lots to do on the plot. It's deciding what has priority. Good luck with the potato challenge😁👍. Terry 👍, Mrs K ❤️
You have so many projects going on-I wouldn't have the brain space for it. I do have a question: in your worm bucket that's in the raised bed-do you ever put in cardboard since they love it so? When I had indoor worms I always balanced the food scraps with newsprint or cardboard but that was mostly to keep it from getting too wet and giving the little beasts somewhere to hide as they seemed to love being inside the corrugated layer.
I want to try that this year with some of my larger beds.
Terry boy plant one of the onion family with your carrots to keep the fly away worked for the past 6 years
Great video again, as always. Sending hugs and best wishes for Mrs K.
When a friend of mine was getting her treatments, she called them her "spa days" – all the best to you Mrs K. Thanks Terry, nice to see things poking up out of the ground now. Couch grass is a swear word – blooming stuff! In our last house, the previous owners had a huge section of raspberries. One summer we had so much fruit that we were having it for breakfast, snack after lunch and more for dessert after dinner. I ended up getting covered in hives and was told to double dose the antihistamine tablets! Oh dearie me! Any spare now goes into the freezer!
Still bit to do terry but you're making great progress! Well done mate x ❤.
Hello Terry Kings Nice tour your allotments +❤ enjoy watching full support 👍❤ 20:04
it's all well and good giving yourself a long list of jobs to do the eye notices what needs doing when you get to the plot. all it takes is a break in then jobs are on hold. just take one day at a time and enjoy it, mate……………..brian
Best wishes for Friday and onwards for Mrs K. Plot 3 looks proper handsome Terry. Signs of spring popping up despite the Beast threatening fot the next week, lets hope the green shoots win out
Nearly four years ago, broke a shoulder it's taken some time to get everything back to the way, it was, with slight improvements along the way. My injury needed a jab to reduce the pain, the werid thing that causes pain is the screwdriver action, will have to use the battery one.
How high does a raised bed have to be to avoid the carrot root fly? I grew some in tall water barrels and they were still affected, best wishes, Lisa
Ah, reminder. Must get a few more Jewels strawberries. Thanks.
Were those Root Pouch grow bags? earlier in the video?
Shared this with my brother because of the water catchment system.
And best to Mrs. K. Amen.
FV. Thanks for sharing. I needed a good video tonight. And thanks for that keep the leaves down tip.
So just a few things 😮. I’m thinking you need a holiday Mr K 😢 you’ve both definitely had a tough few months. She was absolutely thrilled with your kindness ❤. I hope Sandra does well, our thoughts are always with her because well she has a tough enough job looking after you 😅 (light humour). But truly I hope she is well, and you also need to look after yourself ❤❤, Ali ❄️❄️❄️🇨🇦
Garlic is looking good. Too early to add some blood meal? Zone 7 US. What do you think?
Hi Terry, thank you for your videos, I always look forward to them. 3rd year of no dig at my allotment this season, has been a total revaluation of how I grow veg as I initially learnt from the readers digest 'the gardening year' book from the 70s. Have also finally treated myself to a greenhouse which will help me raise the seedlings for the coming year. Wishing Mrs K and yourself an amazing spring!
Hi Terry
New tablet did an excellent job. Good plot review . Your local council should employ you so you could start an educational program as you have a huge knowledge base.
❤ Mrs K
The new tablet looks great. No1 is looking great too.
Everything looks great Terry , good luck with the giant veg this year.❤️👌👍🙏😁🥕🥔
Great information and tour of the plots. Give Mrs K my love for Friday and her her ongoing treatment throughout the year. Look after yourself. Thanks Terry and take care
Hey Terry 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
There is nothing worse than a kinky pipe 😂🤣😂🤣
Thank you so much for the shout out 😊
Hope the treatment isn't too uncomfortable for Mrs king ❤
I was just thinking that you could leave the sheep's wool on the bed and plant through it, it will keep it nice and damp in the hot weather ( if we get any😅)
Your new tablet is doing fine. Thank you for the update and take care my friend 🙏🏻
🐮🐮🐮
Wishing Mrs. K all the very best for her treatment. A friend in Australia. fell out of remission and went up to level 5 panic stations but about 7months later she is back down to minus 1. I hope your wife gets good results, it makes all those bad days worthwhile. What has Mrs K got on her bucket list, hope you both get to enjoy completing them. Could you do mine as well seeing as I am now bed bound for life.. Love to you both❤❤
All looking very well mate 👍
Happy Thursday, Terry ❤
Great tour and update.
Please tell Mrs. K❤she is in my Rosary 📿
Your commitment to growing only the best nutrient-dense veggies and fruit is amazing.
Take care of yourself and Sandra ❤Peggy❤
Looking good x ❤ for Mrs K
My allotment rent is just shy of £100 a year. The autumn fruiting raspberries (based on supermarket prices) cover that cost. The other crops are the profit, because the rhubarb, blackcurrants and gooseberries cover the cost of the manure and other costs. Nowadays with high council rents, I think you need soft fruit crops to make a plot profitable. That of course prices your labour at £0. But I see the allotment cheaper than the gym.
Terry I do admire you but watching I am exhausted listening to what your going to do it is never ending isn’t it, I know you love the plots but do you need even more barrels?
I can report that I have had a huge harvest from my three blueberry bushes (in pots) and we and our UK visitors are enjoying the tasty berries. After losing most summer crops I am re motivated. Strawberries starting to come on and my one year autumn raspberries have a few on.
To
You and Mrs K my sincerest best wishes hoping the treatment isn’t too debilitating and will be effective
Love to you both from down under.
Thanks Terry always full of admiration & enjoyable watching please buy a small treat for Mrs K from me
Hard working as usual
With everything in its rightful space
Plots looking superb Mr K, best wishes for Mrs K and hope all goes smoothly for you both
