  1. This is so fun, suggesting and recommending some good bones & structure for their spaces. And who knows, in the future it will be very easy to add even more plantings if they find they like to work in their garden.

  2. Hi Linda, Taylor and Jamie

Only been in the property a year?
An absolutely massive undertaking, especially when both of them work.
Good intentions, but maybe planning in paper, and some help from Kayla and her crew. AND OF COURSE MOM LINDA❤❤

  3. The house is just lovely! Can’t wait to see how they adapt the landscaping plan. Thanks for sharing with us.

  4. As sooo many have already stated what a beautiful home and lovely neighborhood Jaime and Taylor have found !! And my gosh the slope in front and the detached garage remind me of your house and they have a nice deck too. It will be sooo fun and 8nteresting watching the transformation take place !!! Taylor is such a pretty lady !!😊😊❤❤❤

  5. I had a small tree in a pot in front of the electric meter-(smart meter) and the ?radiation nearly killed the tree. Now 3-4 years laterm tree is alive but not yet producing fruit.

  6. When are we going to meet Dan & Dave? We need a spinoff series showing the progress here! *Sidenote, Linda, I am a newly hired landscaper designer and this video was so valuable. I'll be going back to it again as a reminder on what to ask at initial visits. Thank you so much!

  7. Jamie and Taylor should consider painting the rain gutters and down spouts black. That will help hide them plus they will match the shutters and door.

  8. Enjoyed this video very much. Lovely family and beautiful home. I too dislike metal edging for the safety reason you mentioned. The bricks in the backyard could be repurposed in the flower bed as you cleverly coined, brick “rugs”. Creative fun ahead!

  9. My first thought was mini 'Fairy Tail House'. I love it! So looking forward to seeing their progress on the landscape! Thank you for sharing.

  10. Maybe for some ideas of what would work and what you like, visit Denver Botanic Gardens in different seasons. Also, maybe check out “Garden in a Box”.

  11. Nice! Be VERY CAREFUL planting “pines” (probably meaning conifer?) pay attention to the 10-20 year size! To many people don’t and end up with a problem with very oversized trees 😜

  12. Charming house! So much potential, great bones. Crying for Evergreens as you suggested. The big bright blue flag hanging in the front was the first thing my eye went to. Anyway, Anxious to see the progress ❤

  13. This was so very fun and interesting! I have to say as some others have commented, I was struck immediately by the similarity between this house and your cottage, just the rounded door and the black accents and the front patio, the whole vibe of it and then the back detached garage. I was amazed how this house is beautiful and adorable as is yours, and I love the way you present your ideas without dictating them, leaving room for the receiver to do it their way, but to take your important instruction and utilize it. I need to stop gushing, but I enjoyed this segment so very much! Thank you Linda and family!

  14. The house is so charming as is the neighborhood. I love the front door, chimney, and how they switched the shutters to black. Looking forward to seeing the landscape transformation. 😀. I think painting the fence dark would look nice.

  15. Can we see their yard after they revamp it please? I love that your kids are looking for advice from you….they appreciate you….kind of rare these days from kids looking for advice from their experienced and wise parents😃

  16. Wowee! What a tour with phenomenal ideas Linda! They are so lucky to have you. Your daughter in law is soooo sweet and “ready to roll.”

  17. What a fun consultation for you Linda!! 😊 So much potential. I'm looking forward to seeing the after.

  18. Sweet house. How about hiding those downspouts a bit by painting them to match the brick color. I don't think of downspouts as ornamental additions to the home as, say, those shutters are. Their colors stand out nicely.

  19. Love this house and possibilities for the yard, when you have garden implements in the yard please turn the shovel downward so you do not step on it and it hits you. When Jamie was walking around I was so worried he would back up and step on it ❤

  20. What a cute house!! And your relationship seems so sweet ❤️ In regards to the previous owner's compost area, could they move that to the yard on the side of the house that they want to fence off? That way it's closer to their kitchen when they want to bring their scraps out to compost, and it's out of site from their kitchen window leaving just a beautiful space behind for plants
