We’ve had a wonderful break over the last few weeks but we’re back and will have a new video for you each week (Saturdays, 9am Portugal time) for the rest of the year.
Today we’ll take you on a tour of the farm, show you what we’ve been working on over our winter break and discuss our big plans and goals for the year.

I’ve missed you!
Love you, dear crazy)
Wow lots of plans. Good luck!
Nice to hear your plans for this year. 🏕
Welcome back, it is so good to see you. I hope you had a lovely bit of time off.🥰One of my favourite couples.
You could say ‘hooroo’ for an Aussie slang ‘bye!’ A bit old fashioned, but a word that should be revived. I also like the word ‘galoot’ . I am sure that one is easier to slot in as you Make, undo and redo some plumbing projects this year 😂 good luck with all of your plans in 2025😊
Dear friends,
I have been following you since the beginning of this incredible journey. I love your videos and wish you great success in your new projects for 2025!
If I may, I have a suggestion for your cement pergola. You could plant kiwi—just keep in mind that for two female trees, you need to plant one male tree. In about three years, you will surely have satisfying results!
Another suggestion would be to plant wisteria (Glicínia). It would bloom beautifully on the pergola and provide shade with its lovely flowers.
Wishing you an excellent 2025 filled with achievements!
Happy New Year! Glad to see you guys took a break and did some traveling. You surely deserve it…. God bless and have a productive 2025
Why do you want to recreate the door to the upper floor – is it a requirement to keep the exterior as-is? If you could block it up, it seems like the ground floor could transition to being the main entrance and you’d gain space on the first floor.
Your cork trees… so well prunned 😍😍😍😍
Does every English person living in Portugal is a builder???
Every video I see…. I just see them build build build… you look like workhoolic masons.
I envy you guys, seriously, I have a roof colapsing from my grandfather's house barn and I don't know how to repair it and I can't find no one to do it.
I'm so frustrated
The climate there must be incredible. You still have green grass in late January?looking forward to the plans. I had a section of woods that was covered in green briar vines of every sort and hundreds of may apples and wild ferns plus cinnamon ferns. It s very beautiful now.
Very pleased to see you back, have missed you.
Well done for taking a well deserved rest.
Looking forward to all you achieve this year, including the brewing and cooking.
Awesome to see you both again. Even though you’ve done walkabouts before this one gave me a better view of it as a whole. That area behind the outbuildings is lovely. Will be a nice spot to sit under the shade of oak trees in summer. Looking forward to seeing what you do this year and wishing you health and happiness. PS. Had to laugh over the Apple trees for cider – my thoughts went straight to apple crumble and cakes etc 😁
Very ambitious but excited for your apple and pear trees!
Great to see you are raring to go and some exciting projects too. You really are living the life and taking time to enjoy your work and play. All the best for the year ahead.
I see the tree you mentioned is causing the wall to move or crack. I dont know what kind of tree that it is but it looks really nice and maybe should be saved. There are people that move trees and this tree might just be one of those that should be moved and saved to put another place on your land.
Could you use sleepers for raised beds to segregate the market garden from the orchard? Could save a lot of time and effort. Looking forward to another year and you both seem refreshed after a well deserved break.
NO doubt your plans will change as you progress – it is fun to see your different projects and your thought process to problem solving – looking forward to 2025 Make.Do.Grow !
Good to hear about your plans for 2025.
I know you have planning issues with the out buildings it would it not be possible to get a temporary roof and workshop setup in one. 60years standing and the council haven’t done anything. Would be good to understand the process.
We could have a Kylie builds windows episode.
I have missed you! This year just seems slightly less horrid with all that you do.
Beautiful front door. It is a beautiful way to welcome visitors to your home. So so many projects for the year. Looking forward to sharing the year with you.✌🏻❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸PA
Good to see you back and a fantastic new Year to you guys
swales?
Good luck in your planning for the coming year ahead….
So glad you are back! Missed you a lot! I am greatly inspired by you.
Great to hear more about your plans, tho we didn't hear anything about the plans for the concrete cistern plunge pool renovation you started with a few years back on the old channel? Also what has happened to the big blue Chinese farm machine we saw a few years ago?
How dare we doubt Kylie’s genius-ness 😅
More ginger cat please
Lots of plans and Ideas. Love the thought process and the excitement that you have. Good luck this year.
Sorri ma ci sono molti professionisti del posto a buon mercato x aiutarvi visto che la muratura non e x voi
So glad you are back!
Fruit tree espalier!!! 🥳
It's easy to access for harvesting and to keep in check, a good wind break besides looking ornamental…
So glad to see you back on with all these ambitious fab projects to tackle – very exciting!
Wishing you lots of energy to accomplish them and looking forward to some nice banter 😊
My bathroom refurb pales into insignificance with the amount of work you're taking on. What? no swimming pool?😆
Welcome back, looking forward to seeing all your projects you have planned for the year. See you later as we tend to say in Nth Qld.
Glad you had a break/rest – doing other projects but at least in the garden. The plans for 2025 sound reasonably ambitious and it will be good watching them implemented in the year. Enjoy life and each other especially. Thanks for sharing the videos of your life and living.
Keep up the great work xxxx
I had an Epiphany when you said that you needed to have access to the pipes from the area which will be your dressing room off of the main bedroom. My idea is to install a few cupboard doors that look like closet doors on that wall that simply open to reveal pipes and not clothes.
Struth….you're back !
The cat is performing a cameo 😁
Hi, I’m not sure that avocados like to have very wet roots. In very rainy places they are placed in hillsides or if it is too flat, on mounds. They like water, but soil has to be well drained.
I’ve really missed both of you. I hope you had a good break. Your plans for 2025 are ambitious and expected nothing less. I love the plans for your gardens, lots of thought and work, over past years has paid off. So much to look forward to!! Must be fun to challenge yourselves with your best friend! Happy New Year with good health, enjoy!❤❤
Better study how to build a retaining wall cause there is a mathematical angle it has to built on depending on what it is holding back.
So Happy to see that you are back🙏👍 Looking forward for the garden projects. Many Blessings and much love to both of you and all the animals ✨🧡🕊️
“Not this year” might be a new t-shirt idea 😂 great to see you’re well and rested, looking forward to seeing your plans coming to life!
Happy New Year to you both. Love your wit and abilities. Would you do a top down of projects, just to give us a sense of orientation please and more often.looking forward to see what you will do in 2025.
