    I’m struggling frfr .. some of my seeds that started 2 weeks ago have mold , I’m still trying to diy a fence to keep the stray dogs from shitting on my crops, this is my 1st year and I’ve been told that things won’t feel like clockwork in the garden until year three… Lord help me to hold out 😩😩

    I have felt strongly that I need to start my seeds early this year. I’m in zone 7b. I’m getting ready to start now. Also, I struggle with onions and garlic, so I’m hoping for better success this year. Your garden is so amazing!

    2019, I got chickens and tried to start a garden in 2020, but I didn't do much bc I didn't do any indoor seed starting. Every year since I have either done nothing or the bare minimum. I bought seed trays last year but no lights, so that didn't really work. This year, I bought so many seeds, more seed starting trays, and some shop lights for inside. I also have some milk jugs to do winter sowing. Although it is so warm outside right now, I am not sure how well they will do. I have rabbits and I hope to get quail this year also and more chickens. I am not giving up bc I want to provide the best food for my family. Thank you for all your encouragement. I would like an update on the garlic and strawberry plants in your greenhouse, and also, where did you get the greenhouse from? I tried to search for the link but couldn't find it. Sorry for the long message.❤❤

    You have a great way of teaching us by showing how you do things and explaining in terms we all can understand. I don’t want to give up but this is my first year starting things from seed. I wish they could all be direct sowed and forget the potting step altogether 😊
    I tried some seeds just last weekend and today I found half of them falling over under the top of the clear container top. Many in the second tray haven’t come up at all and the third tray is supposed to to take 14 days so I’m not giving up on them just yet. Buying starter plants are six dollars and up last year so I want to grow some vegetables this year. I had a whole tray of bok Choi and not one has shown its head. I might just be eating jam this summer 😊

    i was just watching you pot up onions and was like ? why can i smell onions! lol i forgot i just trimmed some outside and pulled some that looked eaten , but i did wash my hands before i sat down ! hahah funny thought i was going a bit mad XD x

    For the lacinato kale stalk, will it grow back? I have one from last year that got about 2" round, it did amazing. Was thinking about trimming off the dead leaves to see if it will come back. Thanks for your videos, I love learning.

    If someone doesn't have a lot of space or money for larger microgreen trays, you can use the plastic boxes that salad comes in. If it doesn't have holes in the bottom, just poke some holes, add some soil, and plant your seeds, for a small, kitchen counter crop of microgreens. You can use the lid of the box for the drip tray, underneath the planting box.

    I struggled the last year with seed sowing indoors. I learned from my mistakes, I add two seeds (or 3 if they are tiny), for a better germination outcome. Just thin out the weaker seedlings. I also learned how to prevent leggy plants too and transplant if applicable. I live in Long Island, NY zone 7B. The best thing I learned from Asia is to keep a garden journal, so I can look back at my failures and successful harvests. So I will know what to do right in the future. I’m also sticking to growing only what we eat, not attempting to grow vegetables and waste time fighting pests and wasting time and resources on food I like and cook! I also enjoy growing flowers for the wonderful pollinators! 🥰 I enjoyed watching the butterflies, bumblebees and birds in my garden last year.
    I can’t wait to start sowing a variety of beautiful flowers in my garden and as companion plants. Thanks Asia for sharing your wisdom and encouragement! 🥰❤️😀🙌🏾🇺🇸
