  1. Where did the evergreens go? I must have missed that video!๐Ÿ˜ฎ love the new pink plant !!!โคโคโค

  2. Looking good!! H
The important thing is to have fun and know that you do what you want itโ€™s yours and no one else

  3. Question – do you cut back your Rose of Sharon before Spring? I just brought home the โ€œHeleneโ€ Rose of Sharon from the Loweโ€™s clearance rack. Sheโ€™s twiggy but alive (I scratched a bit of a branch to confirm). Should I trim some of the branches after putting her in the ground or leave her alone? TIA!

  4. Since you and Brent installed the water and electrical yourself, my garden math says you have a couple grand for free plants and decor. ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒฟ Janet ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. I was going to ask if that plant was a succulent because it looked like it to me. Then, you gave an explanation of why it looks that way. Your pomegranate seed comment ๐Ÿ˜‚. The changes are coming along. So exciting.

  6. Your snapdragons should last for a few years, just cut them back when they start to look leggy, I use a good organic flowering fertilizer and they will come back.. There are so many varieties of the Grevilleaโ€™s. I was told no fertilizer or summer water once established. I love these plants. Happy Gardening. ๐Ÿงก

  7. Oh my goodness, Robbie that shrub is absolutely stunning. Itโ€™s such a great choice and extremely interesting as well. I believe that will make a great conversation piece. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŒธ Liz

  8. The lettuce is pretty and will make a great salad for dinner! Iโ€™ve never grown snapdragons but they are so pretty! Love the plant you put in the front flowerbed! I need to look for those! Love how everything is coming along!

  9. Morning Robbie
I love the hummingbird plant you planted in the front, I have to go look for it. Here I go again, spending more money on plants because of you โค
The other day I found some hellebore plants on sale๐Ÿ™‚๐ŸŒป

  10. Love the grevillea! I am in Australia and grevilleas are my favourite plants. Its wonderful to hear that your hummingbirds love it. The prickly leaves help to protect them from bigger birds. As long as it has full sun and the occasional water it should do well in your climate.

  11. Love grevilleas. I have a lot and so hardy for a sunny position here in Australia. FYI only feed with native Australian food = no phosphorus

  12. Have several in Rocklin. They love full sun even in the wretched heat of Calif 9b. Grevilla Coastal Gem and Mt. Tabamitha are both fabโค

  13. Hi Mr Robbie.Im in zone 9 Southern AZ. I have Snap Dragons and stock flowers. They flower profusely at this time and mean right now. I feed them heavily. These plants are the only ones that have survived everything winter hits them with. Why are you waiting? I don't understand.

  14. Robbie the Woolly Grevilleas is beautiful, but, because of its trailing habit wouldn't it be better in a tall pot??

  15. That shrub is gorgeous! I've never seen or heard of it. Wonder how it does in a more humid climate like Houston.

  16. Robbie and Brent y'all are doing such a lot and doing a great job at everything you do. The backyard is going to be absolutely beautiful โค

  17. The Aussie native Grevillea looks familiar , should do well in California.

  18. Robbie you inspire me, I cannot wait to work in my garden . It turned real cold down in the Bay . Qw are waiting on your back yard oais,

  19. Robbie, just an idea if you need to use an area image of your property, instead of a drone with its complicated rules and fees, you can get free screen shots from Google Earth if you find it somewhat updated. It most likely is.

  20. Thank you so much for the inspiration I have been so blahh the past few in the garden. Your making me want to get back out there and do stuff.

  21. Love the idea of a fireplace! If you need something before it's built, would a chiminea work? Also, I've never had a sprinkler system before- can you show a little how that works? I was surprised to see them in the corners. Does that mean you can direct the spray for each nozzle? Thanks for sharing this amazing project!

  22. Hi Robbie! I love seeing how happy you are when you get new plants that you love. That Woolly Grevillea is beautiful. It looks so good in the front. I wish it was hardy in lower zones, 7a, as I would love to grow one in a pot. You and Brent are making great progress on the backyard project. I'm really looking forward to seeing what all you do back there. Thank you so much for sharing!

  23. Hey Robbie ๐Ÿ‘‹ How about a sunken area for the new patio space? It will definitely give you the closed-in, private feel you're going for. And the plants, fireplace, and containers will only add to the effect and complete the area, making it feel cozy.

We sometimes tend to make our "garden rooms" feel cold or secluded when aiming for that private feel, if that makes sense ๐Ÿ˜† But cozy is really the best feeling when it comes to a "garden room," IMO.
