  1. I really appreciate the "real" stuff you share on your channel. But I cannot lie, I busted out laughing when you said, "if you don't wanna learn about real farm life, just come back later". You and Miah are wonderful, and I so appreciate you sharing your journey with us.

  2. Are you still eating carnivore? If not how long was it before you started eating veggies again? I’m trying to heal my autoimmune with carnivore now but hoping to get all the veggies again some day

  3. Dang, the one beef cow that you keep had to prolapse…so much for trying to ease the stress in the farm. Will this happen every time she calves?

  4. Aren’t horses funny? I love their curiosity. They’re like big cats. A lot of nosy and sass. Also loving and maternal. 💕🐎

  5. Sugar is amazing for things like what y’all are doing. We used sugar on deep bedsores in the nursing home before. We had one lady that had a very deep bedsore and we packed it with sugar and in a few weeks it was so much better and ended up being completely healed by sugar.

  6. I appreciate this kind of content. I don’t ever plan to have cattle or dairy cows because I live on a 1/3 of an acre , but it is still fascinating to me. Maybe someday someone will have this issue with their cow and I can refer them to this video. Alls well that ends well! ❤

  7. Sugar also aids in healing and infection. We had a cat that had a wound and we packed in sugar to aid in healing. Wish I had known about it when we were breeding pigs

  8. I am so happy that everything turned out just fine. I love the way you explain everything. God bless you all.❤

  9. Congrats on the new babies on the farm. I love seeing fresh calves. They are so cute! Love this kind of info, so good to learn before I need it, just in case. I live next door to some Amish. The horses are in a field next to my house. They love watching me in the garden or moving the chickens around. I throw strawberries that the bugs got to into the field for them.

  10. Oh Jess I can't even imagine the management.. Happy birthday to the new family members 🎈🎈

  11. Your vet gives good advice.
When I was a nurse, we used to treat patients with large protruding hemorrhoids by having the patient lay on their stomachs while we put sugar on the hemorrhoids, and then covered them with a towel and let them take a nap. It works, and is the exact same principal that you’re using to reduce the swelling of the prolapse in the cow we use to reduce the swelling of the prolapsed hemorrhoid. Just a little something people can try using when they don’t want to spend money on the doctor over a protruding hemorrhoids.

  12. I have watched many veterinary and ranching shows and channels and have never seen a prolapse before the birth, but many after. So glad both calves arrived cute and healthy.

  13. Glad it turned out well. I had not heard of using sugar on a prolapse. Glad both births went off reasonably well.

  14. Okay, but now I can’t stop humming the Mary Poppins song! 'Just a spoonful of sugar helps the swelling go down'—it’s stuck in my head! 😂 So glad everything turned out well in the end. Your explanations are always so clear and calming. Also, Mia’s comment about which sugar to use had me laughing so hard I almost spilled my drink! Congrats on the two new additions—so happy everything went smoothly. And wow, I had no idea sugar could be used like that! Your vet is amazing, and it’s fascinating how similar this is to treating hemorrhoids. Learned something new today—thanks for sharing! Wishing you all the best! 🐄💕

  15. I will never hear that Van Halen song the same way again! 😂
I’m just gonna drop a compliment on that pin board thing for the posts and pans that’s so smart.
I laughed so much at “prolapsed vagina is where we draw the line” 😂😂😂

  16. So glad it all worked out and you have 2 healthy calves. I really respect your commitment to doing right by your animals to the absolute best of your ability.

  17. I've seen a sugar pack used for cattle, horses, sheep, goats, dogs and cats with a head cone to prevent locking, and for humans who have a mild prolapse or hemorrhoids. It is Old School and works as well as expensive chemical products that require a Dr. Anyone who has a old Appalachian granny who remembers their backwoods healing processes will tell you the same thing. Just like using honey for wounds and burns, a sugar pack is what you do. Learning something new from something old today.
