  1. Those onions would make wonderful onion rings and those red potatoes would be so good baked. Red potatoes baked then cubed, mixed with onion, cream of chicken and herb soup and some cheese. So good!

  2. During the Arctic blast a couple weeks somehow the breaker was thrown on the electricity that supplies my greenhouse. It was 20* inside when I noticed which was at 11 at night. The next morning when I went in to check EVERYTHING was frozen. Greenhouses are such a blessing to go into on a cold snowy day and see flowers blooming. And, I'm just beginning to receive seeds that I've ordered to start early in the greenhouse. I can't heat a greenhouse just to start some seeds in. I'm really missing it.

  3. For the sprayer. Another thing that will make it not work properly, is if the O-ring on the underside of the lid might be damaged, which will allow air to escape from inside the sprayer. It might be an easy fix, if the O-ring has just gotten out of its track. If it's completely damaged, getting a replacement from the manufacturer is necessary.

  4. Watching you work with plants fills a place in me that is sort of lost after a bunch of life changes. I feel like I'm doing this with you and I can't even tell you how enriching it is for my soul. I learned so much from you over the years, and even though I can't garden myself now, you're still a very important part of my daily life. Bless you and your sweet family and thank you for every single thing that you do ❤❤❤

  5. Laura, you should find an appropriate bucket, water holder for Hartley. Fill, let accustom, and then use that water to overhead water your plants.
As the water sits in the container, it's mineral load will settle to bottom. ( Lime, copper, etc. )
I then use a hose to water once every week, well.

  6. I have found that I have better luck with rooting the tips, when I strip off a few of the bottom leaves first. Otherwise, they tend to get rotten at the point of contact with the soil.

  7. I’m in zone 10b and I have a hard time growing bulb onions from seeds. I get a short day sampler of plants from Dixondale Farms for $16.50. There’s over fifty and I get three varieties. I let some go to seed and end up with onions growing in odd places. I also got myself some walking onions, so hopefully I will have a continuous supply.

  8. The Harley looks very beautiful full of all those succulent plants does string of watermelons look very beautiful alone and her own flower pot God bless to you and your family have a great morning😊😊😊

  9. Would Love to see Laura do a wall piece of succulents for the studio😍 or a small structure of a few steps covered in succulents, a “succulent stairway” but then I think, ooh, that snugged beside a little waterfall feature could be so stunning 😅 ❤ when the possibilities are endless the mind is magic ❤ can’t wait to see what she does next!!

  10. Laura, the birdbath planted with succulents takes my breath away! The textures, colors, and density are stunning. Question: The planted seed trays under the grow lights have a green-ish color on top of the soil. What is it and is it healthy for the baby plants? Thank you for all you do to bring us along.

  11. I haven’t put together the vertical garden yet waiting for my grandson to pick up wood so I can put it together. I found your tidy tray on Amazon so I ordered that we are building a small green house looking forward to see it finished

  12. I planted up onion seeds just the other day – good to know I am on the right schedule! Thanks for explaining all the steps and going over the seed varieties.❤

  13. Hey Laura! You can add an inline water filter under your Hartley sink, so you won't get hard water on overhead watered or misted plants like your string of pearls.

  14. I love Laura's step-by-step explanations. But, I got to admit, my favorite part was the Douglas/Russell showdown.

  15. Hi Laura, i have a question about the "string-of-" plants. I have a string-of-hearts that i got as a tiny baby plant that was just one singular string. Now the plant is growing, like the one string is getting longer and longer, but it never sprouted any additional strings, I just have one super long tendril trailing across my windowsill 🤪 Do you have any idea how I could get it to fill in like the plants you have? Thankyou 💖

  16. What happened to Samantha's sand box (pool)? It looks naked in that area. New area for more plants🌺🌼🌱🌻🥀

  17. Love how you explain all the steps. Your onions are beautiful. I love to cook with them daily. Thank you for all the great tips you shared
Question🐓 how do the chickens keep warm when you mentioned how cold youvi been I thought of the girls.
    Have a great day

  18. With the changes to the cut flower garden zone, do you already know where the onions will transplant to? Or is this a leap of faith all will work out with pathways etc in time for the transplant?

  19. Thank you for this video! It is nice to see garden fails as well 😀 Question for you, are onions a good option for the winter sowing method? I am in 8a, coastal southern Virginia. Thank you!

  20. I’m trying to start my seeds again this year but never have much success. My thumb is definitely not green but I keep on challenging myself. I love trying new things and it gives me a wonderful feeling when I succeed even with only one plant.

  21. Greetings from Indianapolis! I recently ordered and received the Misto mister. Can you please tell me what the purpose of the round dial on the top is for? Also, I am wonder if the paper pots can be cut in half to decrease the size without comproming its structure? One last question, I noticed that you didn't wet the cactus soil before you used it. Is it not necessary because it is for succulents that don't like alot of moisture?
