How to Transform Your Garden with Slatted Fencing & Cotswold Stones
Keen DIYer & renovator: Meg Coates

In this week’s garden makeover episode, we’re tackling another big project! First, we had to move the shed (without drilling it down, thank goodness!) to create enough space for installing new slatted fencing. Once the shed was shifted, we got stuck into placing the fence posts and adding the slats – using a super simple method for a neat, modern finish.

After completing the fencing, we moved on to upgrading the back garden by laying stunning Cotswold stones. This was such an easy and budget-friendly project with a huge impact! We used a weed membrane for proper drainage and ordered the stones from Gravel Master – they arrived quickly, and the delivery driver was brilliant. The transformation has brightened up the space and made it feel so much more inviting.

Our garden makeover journey started back in 2021 when we moved in, and it’s been non-stop since then! From muddy chaos to a more polished and functional space, this DIY project has come a long way. But we’re not done yet – the side garden is still a work in progress. Should we dig up the concrete or install fence post feet? Let us know in the comments what you’d do!
