Hi everyone! First time posting here and I’m having some troubles with my pothos losing leaves towards the tops of the vines. I was wondering if I need to cut the vines to propagate or is there another course of action I can take. I don’t really want to cut the vines (but will if I need to)!

All I see are so many nodes to prop and create a whole line of vines coming down. I’d cut and make a few new pots worth to put up there beside that one.

Another option, visually, would be to wrap the leafless vines around the pot base before they start their drape.

Ive not tried it but apparently if you cut slightly above/below the nodes and add keiki paste, new leaves will grow.

  4. If you like the long vines, I’d coil the bare parts up in the pot and bury them. If you’re just a little bit lucky you’ll have new growth from those naked nodes AND get to keep your long vines. 🙂

I’d chop and prop at least two. Prop and repot and you have a monster pothos in a year. 😀
