Hello everyone:) I had this big and beautifull cordyline for some month now. I was gone for the holidays between december and january and when I came back the plant was fine and thriving (apparently!). After a while, lower leaves started to lose stiffness and in just one or two weeks it's gotten so bed I don't think it's gonna last mutch longer:(

Medium drenage, soil pretty dry, water about once a week a bit in the soil and a bit by nebulizator. Seemed to be okay since two weeks ago.

I have no clue whats going on. The soil is pretty dry right now and the drainage seems decent (I'd say a medium drenage) so I don't think is a rotting problem. On the other hand also a thirst problem would be strange since I did not change the watering habit and we are in full winter. Ceramic pot, medium low indirect light (since forever, i didn't move it).

Thank you in advance to everyone who'd comment:)

  1. For this to happen in a week, I’d be looking for trauma – exposure to extreme temperature change (heat or cold) or something toxic introduced into the soil…

I can’t see pests, over-watering, under-watering, or reduced light taking a plant from thriving to possibly dying in a week.

  2. It could also be underwatering depending on what you mean when you water ‘a bit’. If the majority of the roots never get any water, the plant will dry out
