i've had this baby string of hearts for about eight months and i'm wondering if it needs to be repotted. some of the vines have yellowed, but others have yellow spots and then continue to sprout new leaves. i wasn't sure if a larger, wider pot would be better for growth? this is the first time i've ever owned a plant and it hasn't died within the first few weeks, im quite attached to her and want her to thrive. for context, ive been watering about once a month and it stays in a windowsill that gets a lot of direct sunlight.
please send suggestions or tips- thank you!!

Sorry I can’t give you the advice you need… but I really love your Gyroid pot.
String of hearts have pretty shallow roots so it’s unlikely to be root bound. The yellowing maybe a sign of inadequate fertilisation and/or humidity. They love humidity.
I have to say, the pot and plant match it’s cute. Is that character from Mario Odyssey?
I love the pot!!
Sometimes direct sunlight is too much for string-ofs. Can you move her away from the window and let her have a bright indirect light situation?
3D printed pots have been a life changer 😁 the plant suits it so well! I don’t have any actual advice, sorry. Just in awe of this pot 😅
I’d give her a little haircut and then propagate the trimmings. There are lots of videos on the different methods of propagating these guys.
Omg this isn’t helpful but WHERE did you get the gyroid pot!?!
I vote chopping and propping! Cutting the long vines can feel wrong as a beginner, but it should help promote new, healthier growth. I cut my string of hearts a few times a year and each time it gets fuller and happier. Sometimes I propagate what I cut by putting the vines directly on damp soil (see pic), sometimes I just pitch the vines in the compost.

I also love that pot, but switching it to something wider (though not deeper than a few inches – the roots are usually shallow) and wrapping the leggy vines on top of that soil could establish new root points and also promote new growth. Might take some trial and error, will definitely take some patience, but I think your plant will be just fine. The top looks perfectly healthy, the hanging bits just need taken care of one way or another! Good luck!
