Hello,
Total beginner. I noticed my seedlings are WAY light starved as they are leaning towards light until they die. So I bought a light. I had limited resources and still can't find much. I got a BOOST LIGHTING 12.6-in 1-Light Silver 105-Watt Full Spectrum LED Grow Light Kit but am now reading that it is overkill and will actually kill my plants? Does anyone have an easy way of explaining this and can say if I messed up or not?
P.s. I know the specs are 5000 Kelvin's and 16000 lumens.

Well, it might kill your plant if you set it up improperly or drop it. Other than that you can control the “strength” of the light either with a dimmer or by varying the distance between the light and plant.
You’ll need to learn a few terms. DLI, PPFD, PAR are all important concepts.
This guide from Iowa state university will get you started.

Edit – after looking at that light a bit I would suggest something else. Unknown LED die make and model, some of the spectrum is unlisted, no par map, and I don’t think it dims. Here is what I’d recommend for around the same price:

If you’re just trying to start seeds indoors to transplant outside later, any grow lights that’s like this is way overkill. Yes, you can use this light but you can also use any regular 6000k-6500k led light. I personally just use cheap shop lights to start seeds indoors. Just put your light as close as possible to the seedling when they sprout without burning them. Throw a fan on low to blow at them and adjust the light as the seedlings grow.
I personally think.led lights are not as good as the are promoted to be.I stopped using mine because I get much faster ,more vigorous growth off high output t5 fluorescents then leds. The older technology was alot better.Ive grown undwe both and T5s are much better then leds
