Wow I had no idea that deck was soooo saggy! I didn't know that was from the original backyard remodel. I like the potting station & the light fixture for the remote corner. My small yard has similar capped off electrical since a previous owner had a hot tub (not for me). Good to see MAC!
I had to laugh about gardening projects taking twice as long as expected. I've been slowly enlarging our front bed the last few years to where what started as 19' wide by 7.5' deep is about to be 9.5' deep (removing Bermuda grass to do so – ugh!). Just a bit more room to squeeze in more perennials into our pollinator bed. Well, I told my wife it would take me about an hour to move the final lawn sprinkler to free up this year's extra space. It took 3.5 hours! LOL!
The two of you are such good teachers! I have to agree that managing expectations is key to any project. Also being able to revise expectations when you run into a project hiccup. Well, maybe that won't happen there, but it always seems to happen at our house! My husband and I have a rule whenever we're doing something new in the garden – be sure to bring along your sense of humor for just those moments.
