My monstera cutting has been in water for 5 months. I’m wondering if it’s time to put it in soil and what size pot should I put it in? I have both an orchid size pot and then something bigger like 6” width x 8” height. How deep should I plant it? Should I untangle the roots before planting or leave alone? Does it matter which direction I plant it in? I’m not sure what this yellow ish thing is towards the bottom of the stem.
First time with a monstera so TIA for answering all my questions!!

Absolutely
You can plant that for sure, I’d keep the soil a little more damp than normal for a little bit to help it acclimate from water to soil.
1000% been ready for weeks probably lol looks very nice!
Yes! Go for it!
Yes. Like another redditor said, keep the substrate more wet/damp than usual for about a week, then gradually back off to a more normal watering schedule over another week or so
She is ready. Take a pot a little bit bigger, let her sit first. When you take a bigger pot then she has to make too many new roots, so she does not produce new leaves. Take it slow. Succes
Most definitely
