My silver torch cactus had been growing beautifully and just didn’t have enough support when I was moving her to be repotted. What is the best to reconnect these two parts? Or am I just better letting her callous over and repot the top part later on?

Thank you for posting to r/plantclinic!
It looks like you may be asking about a cactus or succulent. In addition to any advice you receive here, please consider visiting r/cactus r/succulents for more specialized care advice.
A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

I think you are better off propagating the broken piece.
The chance of it getting infected is bigger when trying to graft the cactus back together risking the whole cactus in the progress.
And I would imagine the balance is off as well so that might cause problems later on.
