
Well this sucks. I bought 2 in October. The solutions feature was a huge factor in my decision, and now they took that way and effectively disabled it for anyone else with left over solutions.

After thoughtful consideration and based on your feedback, we have made the decision to discontinue the Solutions part of our business. This wasn’t an easy choice, but we believe it’s the right one to help us refocus on what OtO does best: innovative irrigation technology.
What does this mean for you?

What’s next?
- Effective immediately, all your Solution subscriptions have been cancelled and no further billing will occur.
- The OtO app will no longer support the installation and application of Solutions.
- If you have leftover Solutions, please refer to product label and SDS for use and disposal information (linked below).

I smell class action!!! Can’t wait to get in on that. I bought one last summer, and this is indeed disappointing.
I used this product to apply smell control to my turf. The solution was THE reason for the purchase and investment in placing a water source near the lawn. I understand that they may not be making money off this, but they really need to not screw over their customers this way. They should allow customers to use the bottles with whatever solution they want, rather than disabling the feature altogether. The entire product is premised on the solutions — the bottles take up the majority of the space on the device itself.
Does this mean that they will no longer have recurring revenue? They will operate solely on the one time sale of units?
Pulling a BMW i see and disabling a hardware feature for their own business profits. They could have posted a DIY guide and sold the parts/solvents alacarte, no? Or just left it on as a potential warranty voiding experimental feature?
I dont understand why they need to disable the functionality for people who have left over solution, unless they’ve discovered something dangerous about the solution.
In the same situation. Only bought it for this feature and I have unused supply I got in September for the spring. Something is not right. I doubt they can maintain server costs on hardware alone. I think they will sunset the whole system eventually. Definitely not buying the 3 more I was planning too.
I have way too many bottles of solutions not to figure out how to hack this thing now.
Yeah I just emailed them asking for a refund on my last two bottles. Now waiting for an email saying the company is out of business in 6months and the thing won’t work. Also I went to their website one o sprinkler is now 589 bucks!, correct me if I’m wrong but I think mine was under 300 and it had more features at the time a bought it

This email is very disappointing as the solutions feature of the OtO devices was a huge factor in my decision process when I decided to take a chance on OtO in Oct of 2024.I purchased 2 units during a sale, and now these units are effectively nerfed from what I originally purchased. I will be following up with my credit card company against this decision as you went against the original promise & advertised feature set of the product.
I hereby request a full refund of my order #: 00000 from October 2nd, 2024.
Please send return shipping instructions so I can ship back these now nerfed devices.

Also, many credit card companies have consumer/product protections with them. Look them and and follow up. I’m still within 120 days with my Chase Visa
