Tried propagating this Pothos. Looks like it was working… and I noticed these bumps on this one and another one. Is this bad? Are they saveable? Are they contagious? AM I A BAD PLANT MOM ?

    I’ve had some look like this. It’s definitely not your typical looking growth, but they’re healthy.

    I *think* it’s just basically trying to shoot off too many roots at once. I’d call that a good sign.

    This bumps are called ‘callus tissue’. They are a bundle of undifferentiated cells that are about to explode into roots eventually once the plant gives them the proper hormonal signal. It’s a good sign, keep going 💚

    (Sidebar: callus tissue is the basis for probating plants via tissue culture. That callus material is basically stem cells that get cultured on agar to proliferate)
