My parents said goodbye to their Yucca and I took it in. I do not know how old it is, but it feels almost like a decade. Their strategy was to have it outdoors during the summer and indoors during winter, a pattern that I'll keep to.

My main question is about the pruning and the pot size. I assume that spring is the best time for that. Is it okay to prune though? I want to control the growth of those lateral branches (like the one in the second picture) since it is gettint a bit too wide. However, those branches are big and have a lot of green on them, so I am a bit afraid of doing anything.

As for the pot size, is it big enough for it? Seems a little small to me, but I am no expect, so I am not sure.

Thanks for any advice!
