Me and my dog Molly knocked this video out some years ago. Grow ‘cut and come’ spicy salad leaves mix using pre loaded seed mats. This is something you might want to do. These ‘user friendly’ seed mats are a great help if you have problems seeing or picking up small seeds or just want to sow a lot of seeds quickly.

🧀🍃🪴…great idea!
Fantastic for disabled growers who have to grow in pots instead of in the ground .
I plant soaked speckled green lentils in empty supermarket mushroom tubs on my window sill and also tubs of rocket, water cress cuttings from salad packs are so quick to root after I've stood them in water and rooted and mustard and cress seeds .
Add that to the salad mix you've grown and its a really nice diverse mix .
The lentils after soaking only take a week to grow about 5 or 6 inches tall.when I cut them I turn the compost matted material over add a little more compost and repeat sow .After the second lot I cut I put the whole rooted mat of compost in the bottom of another deeper plant pot or on my compost heap .
I also grow sprouted seed such as pumpkin, sunflower, chick peas, alfalfa and mung beans or aduki beans .You get thousands in a supermarket packet and can have a regular supply of extremely cheap nutritious salad food.
If people look online you can buy packs of micro green which include radish.beetroot.mustard .brocooli and many others to grow as a quick salad alternative and you can eat carrot tops too .with people struggling and salad so pricey it's worth a try .
Hello from Zone 6 in Canada (GTA = Greater Toronto Area)
I've not tried the seed mats, but I have tried the seed tapes. The seed tapes didnt take at all. Glad your seed mats grew and love your videos! Grow on then 😊
Never heard of these mats before. I will be giving these a go save me time. Cheers very helpful content mate.
