Edible #Flowers and #Vegetables Growing in our #Urban #Garden 🪴🌼🍆😊🙌

Here’s a short video of a few of our #vegetables that are #flowering and #fruiting at the moment.
#Eggplant is a #delicious vegetable that is so #versatile due to its relatively #neutral #taste meaning that it can #accompany many different #flavour #combinations as you use it in #cooking. 😋😋😋

In the first part of the video you can see the open flower of the eggplant followed by the wilted flower that is transforming into a fruit and then the developing fruit below it on the plant. It was rather #unique to see these 3 #stages of the #sequence on one plant at the same time!

Our #okra plants initially provided us with a #harvest of about 20-25 pieces (2 plants) and now after being #trimmed back, they are flowering and fruiting once more.

And then our #pumpkin plant initially grown from a #seed from a store bought pumpkin has been flowering for the past 2 weeks. Pumpkin #flowers and young #leaves are #edible and we often harvest these to add into #traditional #Filipino #dishes like #monggo and #tinola – were also hoping to see some pumpkins come up – just waiting on the #pollinators to do their #work 🙏😊🪴
