My lawn has this moss growing on the soil under grass. I’m not sure if it’s a sign that the soil is staying damp too long. Thanks in advance.

    I wonder too as I get it in early spring and usually goes away by summer.

    I get it in areas of grass that doesn’t get as much sunlight/heat because of the shadow cast by my fence.

    I pull out and remove anything slimey. I recommend waterproof gloves if you are going in with your hands/fingers
