  1. I have learned that one can spend a lot of money on annuals but they do have their benefit. I use them after spring bulbs have bloomed to hide their foliage. I use them for color. But I have cut back on them th bc they are work to buy work to put in and work to remove. I also like to put a couple in pots near the front door. Having them requires more water for the garden however. The trusty drought resistant perennials have been my go to. Not a fan of petunia bc it had historically just never performed well. But Garden answer and you guys keep saying how wonderful they are. I will try them and see.

  2. 🌼🌸🌼 Annuals are FUN flowers! 🌼🌸🌼
I agree with Tom. The heat zone information is very important. I am zone 8 North Texas, very different than zone 8 Seattle. What I do these days is choose plants where 8 is the middle of the zones. We get cold too! (Example GZ 6-9) So I try not to choose plants with 8 as the highest growing zone.
SO many great plant ideas for spring! And great question Stacey about Caladiums. I’m going to start them indoors and see what happens.
Thank you for annnother great show!!!

  3. Already preordered Angelface Wedgwood Pink Angelonia (I have to have it!), and thanks for reminding me that I'm gonna need Aromagica Purple Heliotrope too. 😜 Grew Supertunia Mini Vista Yellow last year (5b/6a) and it was nonstop till I dumped it in November! Nice mid yellow color — not bright-bright but not golden. Based on no science, I'd also say it gave me less budworm issues than my Supertunia Vista Bubblegums (so worth the effort, though). I'll be adding more Mini Vistas this year ✨

  4. I planted some of the Supertunias last year, but that was all. My back and arthritis don't appreciate the work anymore, so I have to concentrate my efforts on maintaining shrubs and perennials. That is enough work to satisfy my soul these days. Thanks for another great show!

  5. I didn't know yellow was my favorite flowering plant until I tried Bee's Knees. I don't like yellow clothing, paint or anywhere else. But in my garden 😍😍😍

  6. I have a comment on the Sky Dew Blueberry. Here in zone 8B Coastal NC Northern Highbush Blueberry don’t do well due to the lack of chill hours. Can you share what the minimum # of chill hours this variety requires?

  7. I’d love to try the supertunia yellow mini vistas. Whenever I think of trumpet-shaped flowers my mind goes to tabebuia. They are spring yellow-flowering tropical trees that are my absolute favorite! If you’re ever in Florida in February-April, look out for these beautiful trees that come in vibrant yellow, pastel, or pink.

  8. If only supertunias could be bred to be budworm resistant! I know you’ve explained before how not possible but maybe one day….. waaaalaaaaa! 😂

  9. I’ve never grown superbenas. Years ago I tried to girl verbenas both in pots and in the ground and no matter what I did they dried up and died. Watering did not seem to help.
Should I give the superbenas a try? Are they truly that different from the traditional verbenas?
