These 5 cherry laurels are under about a foot of snow. Planted em about two months ago when I thought we’d have a mild winter. Whoops. Fingers crossed.

I’ve also got mealy cup that never went dormant under that box, frog fruit in the “lawn,” and a few swamp sunflowers under thick snow like nothing I’ve ever experienced in New Orleans.

Hopefully this isn’t gonna set me back too far. Finding Cherry Laurel was a pain.

The native range of cherry laurel does include places that get snow most winters.
