I’m trying to see if I can cut some of this off and attach it to my oak tree to add to my fern garden.

Looks like resurrection fern to me. Not 💯, but it’s looks like some I’ve salvaged. If it is, you should just be able to cut off a small section with leaves on it and mount/wedge it on whatever you want it to grow on and you should be set 👍

Looks like resurrection fern to me, Pleopeltis polypodioides. I’ve grown them in terrariums at home before with pretty good success, so I think you’d be able to transplant it? Probably have to tie them on for a while until they anchor themselves.

I believe this is a resurrection fern (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleopeltis_polypodioides). They seem hardy at least in terms of being able to survive dehydration, but I’m not sure about how best to transplant them.
