I sort of forgot these out here/thought they were covered in snow – we’ve been experiencing single digit temps for the last couple days. Are they ok? Should I move them to a warmer place? Or are they already gone? These are liatris pycnostachya that I grew from seed last spring, so this’ll be their second year.

They should be ok as long as you’ve kept em watered

Cold won’t kill potted natives – dryness will. If you’re especially concerned, I’d make sure to pour some water over them when temps go up a bit again (so that it’s not too much of a shock) and then heel them in with some mulch. However they look like they’ve retained their moisture.

Covering them in mulch/leaves is never a bad idea

If you have a garage, you could move them there until the worst of it passes
