I don’t know what type of plant he is, but it was a propagation a friend gave me. And I don’t know anything about plants. and I’m pretty sure I just leave this thing in water and then just top it up every once in a while and I’ve been leaving it by a window, but not too close so it doesn’t get cold.

From what it looks like, the leaves are frozen. Maybe if they fall off and the stem is healthy, it will grow new ones… but that’s a big maybe
The stem still looks pretty good, so it should survive! It will likely drop those leaves, but as long as the stem stays green and healthy, it should put out new leaves soon-ish. It’s a pothos- they can live for a long time in just water, or you can plant it in some tropical potting mix. Best of luck!
Not a lot you can really do. Not sure if it’s dead yet so just keep it warm and growing. I don’t think you really have to worry about topping these guys. Ask your friend for more clippings; these guys grow very fast with lots of nodes so they propagate easily.
The main thing you can do is pick up a shovel and prepare a eulogy.
Jokes aside, not very likely to come back, might not be impossible tho, the stem looks healthy. But it’s going to be a long journey
Stem looks good. Take those leaves off, keep it warm, and hope for the best in spring
Yikes, id cut the leaves and hope the stem survives. Cold is not forgiving on plants once the damage is done.
It looks like it’s not too far gone. I’d change the water, add plant food (if you use it normally), and put somewhere with lots of light and a bit of warmth. Also if the bottom starts dying off, try cutting from the lowest healthy node and start fresh. Or if it’s a cutting of a plant you have, maybe cutting your losses might be the least amount of mental strain. I swear I have to cut back my pothos every few months and I’ve given up on propagating them because I’ve no where left to put them 😅
