I recently removed an old shed from the corner of my backyard and the ground underneath it is super compacted and bare. I considered tilling it to get good soil then overseeding so it will fill in with grass, but I've read that tilling isn't good/necessary for grass growth. I don't know much about this sort of stuff so I'm looking for advice on the best way to go about getting good grass to grow in here. Im located in south Louisiana if that helps in terms of climate. Thoughts?

  1. You could till it or you could just add some new soil on top. Anything to increase that seed to soil contact
