Today’s video is an overview of the whole garden here – messy areas, works in progress and projects for the distant future all included! Hopefully it gives a bit more context to the garden layout and what garden projects I’ll be working on this year and beyond in my Lincolnshire jungle garden. I did manage to build a hardwood sleeper arch to the garden last year as well as a screen / trellis for a Clematis armandii to scramble up but behind it lies a mountain of subsoil, dreams of a lean to greenhouse and plenty of work for another day. If you think that I’m going to run out of garden projects, plans and developments to share with you any time soon then I’m sure this video will put your mind at rest…
0:00 Intro

Thats one glorious pile! All jokes aside gardens still looking great & really looking forward to seeing that lean-to greenhouse in the future!
Thanks for showing us the whole garden, warts and all. I hope for you that you'll find the time to realize all your projects within a reasonable amount of time. We'll be watching your progress (in a positive way).
That's going two keep you bissie mate it getting better and better we never stop allways changing That's the fun bit
Hi George, everyone has bits they would love to improve in their gardens, it’s only time and money that stops most of us, I love the idea of a large lean to greenhouse, that would be a great use of the area. Cheers Paul.
I've always wondered what you were hiding behind that camera George, I'm pleased you've been brave enough to reveal 'the pile' and play area. Keep up the good work! X
When your kid and dog came in shot, my Dutch Shepherd spotted the dog right away and kept his eye on him 😆
As a pine lover, would a Wollemi Pine not be a great addition to your garden?? It's readily available here nowadays, I reckon there as well. It has a cool story and looks magnificent
7:38 indeed. Especially if you have the greenhouse up and the borders in front, closing up the now open space on the right. It'll guide/force your view deeper into the garden
Whoa! I had no idea your garden was sooooooo long- it’s fabulous xxx Looking forward to seeing how it all develops- I’m sure Harriet will have a mud kitchen in there somewhere x
Love it! Thanks for sharing the whole garden. The arch is a great addition, and it was good fun to see the "family area" and hear the plans for it as well!
Enjoyed the video George. The lean to greenhouse project is so exciting cant wait for that. Love your garden 😍
Thanks for sharing the less developed areas George – As a lock down convert to gardening its reassuring to know that Im not allone with constantly moving chaos area and evolving plans that seem to change at least twice a year 😊 keep up the good work though I expect Harriet's area is going to grow 🎉
What a fantastic garden! You should check Helwingia himalaica for your evergreen border. It's really something special and quite hardy.
Wow how long your garden is who doesn't have that place in there garden with a pile of pots and rubbish we have .Can't wait to see more has the weather warms up .Janine
I’d be surprised if you couldn’t fly a drone in the sub 250g category over your garden if you wanted drone imagery
Great video, and thanks for showing the reality of a developing garden ,I am literally living in a building site ,it all takes, time, patience and money 😂
Best thing about this channel is that you see the positives and lots of the negatives of a tropical garden or a standard garden. A garden is never ending and always changing, you’ll always have a messy area but it’s about staying at it and not giving it. Gorgeous garden George and can’t wait for the summer projects! I’m moving into a new house next week and the garden is something I’ve dreamt about for a long time and I can’t wait to get started 🪴
I cried tears of laughter when your garden plans on your daughter’s etch a sketch popped up! 🤣
Your garden looks amazing and I think it will just increase in beauty as your plans become a reality. Looking forward to seeing the greenhouse when you get it in the future. Another brilliant and uplifting video George. Xxx
Thank you George, it was great to see some hidden places till now! 🙏
I love your sense of humour talking about the cute little/dwarf… Waggie planted by your wife .😄
All the best! 🙋♂
When we were lucky enough to get a little tour of your amazing garden last year I got the distinct impression you wanted to head quickly to a point where your garden was done but hearing some really long term amazing plans and even little teasers of other things makes me happy! We all need them big long term plans, garden never done! Thank you George great content as ever.
Wow George your garden is massive . Like Montys long meadow 😂. I've recently retired now , but i do know its hard to find time for the garden. When you work full time and have a family. And not to mention any spare cash of course,
.It looks great anyway love ,
Thanks for showing it all. Do you have an area you might keep for composting? Although I try and reuse everything it's certainly something I overlooked. Especially when it comes to the end of the season and I cut back or remove the leaves of the big plants, such as the Musa and Canna's. I do use them to cover plants and shred as much as possible. But some still goes to waste. Something I definitely need to improve.
Can I asked where you managed to buy your Pinus Patula from? I’ve been looking for one for a while although it may be just a bit too big and fast growing for my garden.
What a wonderful tour! I felt like I got out and worked in my garden just by watching you walk through yours. Definitely appreciate you showing the "pile of resources" that had been hidden until now. I think all of us have that as a common feature in our gardens 😂
Keep up the great work George . Love your channel. You’ve done a great job being a one man show! Always waiting for your next video!
Really enjoyed the full orientation video. The structural engineering calculations on the Pepper Pig device were particularly impressive. You are truly leading the way in using advanced technology such as this 😁👍
65cm long – looks bigger..
Wow your garden is even bigger than I thought. That's amazing
Wouldn't a darker background for the greenhouse help preserve the heat inside?
Love all the old bricks and alike, reminds me of Cambodian temples. Gonna look more at the recycling center for such.
My missus is always complaining that our garden is a mess! She even said "I bet Georges Jungle garden doesn't look like a ** hole off camera" Thanks George I will show her this video 😉 hahaha
Great to get a full picture of your entire garden, George. I know you’ve mentioned the length a few times but I fully appreciate what the numbers actually mean now!!
Here in panhandle of Florida I near Pensacola, tomorrow night we are getting a rare and possible record setting snow/ice event of 3-5 inches of accumulation. Plus next 5 nights temps down to 22-25 F. I know my Chinese fan palms, Mexican fan palms, sagos, European fan palms will survive got lots of plants in side and bananas wrapped with frost cloth & bubble wrap. This could be a record cold snow event so if it all survives I can probably handle anything. Your making great progress in your garden should be a fun 2025
