🥕 Become a 5-Minute Gardener: https://www.gardenary.com/the-five-minute-gardener-book

What if you could plant something once and harvest it for many years to come with hardly any effort? Well, you can! IF you grow edible perennial plants in your vegetable garden.

In this video, I’ll show you my 5 favorite perennials that I planted over 3
years ago. I harvest from these plants every single week, and I’ll get to eat from these plants for many years to come (one even protects me from mosquitos!). So if you’re looking for a ridiculously low-maintenance plant that gives you LOADS of production for many, many years, then you’ve got to add these 5 plants to your garden, too.

Tell me in the comments what you want me to cover about planting in the garden next!

  1. Yay I just need to make a fence so my renegade 2 chickens and my rescue golden retriever who I call a raptor dinosaur the Chema follow the dog in and the rest is history! Plus we were the November Camarillo fire with 80 MPH gusts so no more plastic green houses crazy times in my garden!!

  2. I'm going to start winter seed sowing this year, mainly for flowers to replace my front garden after I get rid of vinca vine. I'm interested in knowing if you have had success with this process.

  3. Yes, perennials are great in the garden year after year! Lemon balm – I have loads – smells like Lemon Pledge to me. I use it sparingly in teas with lemon verbena. Have had oregano, sage and, of course, rosemary, for years. One of my rosemary shrubs is 7 years old and will get taller than me! Love your videos!

  4. Love learning lil thingsvlike the sage being bumpy protects from frost. Plants are amazing! Now I know my herb in strawberry patch is sage thankyou. Needed to check that. Planted lots herbs throughout patch to deter snails slugs ants… slowly learning to use the herbs🌻

  5. Agree with commenter who liked that you offer suggesting and tutorials on what to do with the harvest as well. While having fresh herbs are great for some, some of us might want to learn how to hang and dry them, then jar them for later use. Or which are good for drawers or keeping away things like mosquitoes (but how?). Loved your video and that you're in a climate that gets snow occasionally.

  6. I know it’s the new thing not to look into the camera, but I find it odd. Who are you looking at? Certainly not me. I would recommend that you only look into the camera. We humans need to connect now more than ever. ♥️
