got this bad boy about 3 weeks ago and it’s beautiful!! i’m just worried about her because the leaves feel a bit flimsy especially compared to my other pothos plant that’s like 1/6 of this size. I’m watering once a week and only when the top soil is dry and making sure to let it drain fully. It sits next to the window with the shades pointing up so i don’t burn the leaves (unless im taking a picture like so). if i do need to repot, how big should the pot be? i also am going to pick up some miracle grow as well. Any advice would be appreciated!

if you want to see a comparison pic, I made a post a few weeks ago when she was a little more lively!! you can definitely see the difference

I’d put her in a slightly bigger pot 🙂

Although they do like slight restriction, your pothos girly seems to be so FULL; with that being said, I’d enlarge her home.

You don’t need shades for it, pretty sure.
I’d also repot, yes. One or two inches bigger than this one.

Oh, also… the leaves feel more flimsy because it’s not a golden pothos. It’s a philodendron scandens ‘brazil’. They don’t have leaves as sturdy!

This is definitely a philodendron hederaceum ‘Brasil’.

Upgrade your pot about 2 inches. Please don’t use miracle gro! It’s a festering soil for bacteria and mold. Buy a chunky mix or make your own with coco coir, worm castings, orchid bark, maybe some pumice or perlite! 😀 happy growing 🩵

Its a philodendron brasil (heartleaf) philodendron

Bigger pot and cut down on the watering. Once a week is too much
