  1. If you buy the microgreen seeds, you will get more seeds for less money. You are correct, though, they are the same seeds. Jess from Roots and Refuge says you can buy microgreens and then just space out and grow your broccoli, kale, etc. for less money!

  2. Yes, most important thing is that you have it. I have realized myself as well that I should get whatever I can however I can, homemade or not.

  3. Have you ever considered getting a wheat grinder and wheat berries (which stay fresh forever)? If you make your own bread regularly, I bet it would be a cost savings. I had a Wondermill for years, and then sold it. Several years later, I regretted it, so I bought another one at discount from a store that had accumulated returns.

  4. Pressure canner, LOVE my electric NESCO! ( Much less expensive, so much I bought 2! VERY simple to use!) Didn't like canned hamburger, but LOVE it dehydrated! You can try freezing beef/ other too before dehydrating. Research, Rain country/ Becoming a Farm Girl, might still have videos about it. Have you tried that? We prefer the home pressure canned chicken.

  5. 15:18 okay Lady! Let’s do it! Last year I purchased my pressure canner both stovetop and electric and haven’t canned anything yet 😳 so you’ll be my motivation. Let’s do it together 2025!

  6. Microgreens/ sprouts, I think some people use paper towels/ coconut coir/ mats? Maybe another sponsor ❤? I am really curious about that.

  7. Hey Asia! Great video! We can’t wait to hear more about your hydroponic system. We have two we haven’t used yet 😅 By the way, your seedlings are looking great! 🌱

  8. You may want to check Creative explained videos for fertilizer needs for indoor growing I use onion leaves soaked in water overtime

  9. Hey for everything you were saying about canning and preserving what you grow or buy from store follow “becoming a farm girl” & “acre homestead” very helpful information.

  10. How do you keep up with all the recording the editing and posting on different pages? I love your content. By the way I’ve been with you for a long time. You inspired me to do my garden and I’m grateful.

  11. Pressure canning scared me too. I started canning broth to get use to the process. Moved to soup, then veggies then jambalaya and marinara sauce. It took a year to get comfortable with it to where I don’t feel the need to watch the canner every second. I don’t wander far from it but I’m not in the kitchen the entire time anymore.

I think stocking up with deals you find is a great idea. Sometimes you get a bad year with the garden. Sometimes you just need a head start to make you more comfortable in the process.

Meat is something I’m stocking up on this year now that I’m comfortable with canning.

  12. get yourself a electric pressure canner i was scared of pressure canning and this canner takes the guess work out and i pressure can all the time now.

  13. You are right Asia. Preparing for any future emergencies is important and it does not matter if he product is store bought or produced my us. What's important is having something for the family when needed. I encourage you to start canning. It's really not hard. Just follow the steps and before you know it you'll be comfortable with the process.

  14. You made a great point Asia about canning food even store purchased. I’m definitely going to do this. Thanks as always 💚

  15. Love watching you! I live in the suburbs..but am growing more in my back yard. My son and daughter in law got me a green greenhouse last year. Absolutely love it..ive had fun
…it snows here and it has held up great. Im crocheting a hat right now as i waych you

  16. I've been wondering since you got the indoor greenhouse: do you notice extra moisture on the floor underneath when using the humidifier? I only ask because I remember when my grandmother's wood floor got damaged by long term moisture exposure from her house plant stand.

  17. If you have not covered this question yet or if you know when you mentioned it, where did you get your greenhouses? I made my own but want to see if you had a cheap option as well!
