Hi everyone, I need some thoughts on why so many of my pothos’ leaves are yellowing all at once. It was growing consistently and looking healthy up until the last month or so. At first it was just a couple of older leaves dying off so I wasn’t very concerned about it, but now there are so many yellow leaves that I know there must be something wrong. The yellow leaves and a few of the green leaves right below the yellowing have a thin, speckled look to them like in the second picture. It sits in a south-facing window getting bright light all day and I water about every week and a half to two weeks, or whenever the soil is dry and the leaves start to droop a bit. I haven’t had any issues with the same care routine in the past, but it has been staying in the 30s Fahrenheit outside lately, so is it possible it’s gotten too cold being near the window or could it be a different issue I haven’t thought of?

Hm, this looks like an overwatering scenario to me. It’s not uncommon for pothos older leaves to yellow and fall away but this is a lot of yellow at one time and if I’m not mistaken those little speckles are edema due to overwatering.

Is this still in nursery potting soil? I’m wondering if the soil seems dry on top and around the sides but the center is holding water for much longer.

Most likely overwatered. Sometimes nursery potting soil can be very dense, I would repot into better draining soil and see if that changes anything.

My pathos can legit be bone dry forever and not die, lol. The dryer is better. Only water when soil is 2 inches dry on top. I wait even longer. I use a skewer. Like brownies, if it comes back with cake / dirt on it wet, then she isn’t ready. Idk what your temp is like either, but it got really cold here, and mine are near a window they did the same thing. I’d say it’s one of those 2 things, maybe both. Also, have you assessed the roots? Is your pot big enough? They like crowding but you want to make sure it’s not too much or this could also happen.
