Grown for 2-3 years. He’s gone through a few weak phases but normally always grows back. Any advice on springing him back or is it just a waiting game? There is still some green left…

Looks like it is still alive from the green on the lower trunk. No idea about the other stuff

I…. this left me speechless. I am *stumped*.

Pun aside, why is such a tiny plant in such a gigantic pot? That is probably your first of many problems. Don’t pot for the plant you want, pot for the plant you have.

What are the roots looking like? That will give you your answer. It’s likely there’s “still green” because the green parts are sucking the life out of the other parts trying to survive. They will eventually die if the roots are not in good shape, and if there are no leaves to feed the plant.

I want to give this poor thing a hug. I guess you can leave it and see what happens, meanwhile I’m going to pick my jaw up off the floor LOL

And in the future, don’t stick a twig in a mansion. That’s asking for a lot of problems. Potted plants don’t work like outside plants, because pots don’t work like the earth. They dont think “wow look at all this space” like we think they do. You can always pot up when the roots grow the pot out. I’ve noticed throughout my years that sticking a tiny plant in a huge pot really harms the plant. In fact, this weekend I’m going to be repotting a lot of my plants, and most of them in smaller homes, as I’ve noticed they do much better when I do that. You don’t want to suffocate them of course, a good rule of thumb is two to three fingers all the way around the roots, *depending on the size of the roots/root ball*. That’s what I’ve followed anyway, and it works a lot better in my experience.

As for this guy…. I really can’t say. I don’t know what else to say, except good luck LOL

I’m looking at almost the same thing but a few months later. Mine sent on some shoots from the base and got growing again – maybe yours will too.
