If it were me – I’d pull it out, wash off the roots and check for root rot. I would put it in a some chunky draining soil and stick it in a nice, warm, indirect sunny corner and ignore until spring/summer. To me it looks like it’s been planted in some sort of dense soil and it’s not getting enough water (I’m not expert –
I’ll leave the official diagnosis to those who know). Looks like you might have a pet caterpillar as well
